This is a great amp I have one instaled in my wife SUV with 2 eclipse 12" and they scream everytime the bass hit I was supprised with this amp just because of the size. i highly recomend it.
originally i had ordered the Sony XM-D9001GTR, but it was not available, so i decided to go with soundstorm. i have it running one kicker cvx 12 at 2 ohms in a ported box with a absolute 1.5 farad capacitor to keep the electrical cool and let me tell you... it is slammin so hard that its not easy to drive with it up. i've had some of the higher end amps and price considered or not this amp slams. you can spend your $ on hifonics or mtx if you want but for my $ this amp is it. 1000 watts rms at 2 ohms no distortion. buy it, you wont be dissapointed!!!
This amp is a very good buy. Plenty of power, great sound. A definite good buy. I recieved my amp in two days from California to Texas.
just got my SoundStorm 1Fd1500 and its awsome.. but if you want it to perform better get your self a crossover and max your bass output other then that its awsome no distortion like other amps perfect for 2 10" or single 12" unless they hit more then 2000rms then you need to get another and strap theam 4 more power. but trust its clean power no distort...
I Got this amp for my very first set up and that was a alpine type x and i had to of these amps the first one last for 3 months it blew because the wiring was not set up in the right way the second one last me 5 months then i sold it with my sub
This was my first amp.this is an awsome amp it powers 2 10" Pioneer and its been 1 year since i have it still works like new never had any problems with the amp. i got this amp in 6 days Cali to Vancouver
Great amp! Have it pushing 1 Kicker 15" L7 in a ported Ground Shaker box. You will not be dissapointed with your purchase.
Love this amp have it on 2 12" pioner premiere 2ohm dvc. They are wanging like h&%# had hooked them up 4 a 1/2 ohm load by mistake and it was still wanging!!! until protection light came on. they are back in 2 ohm now, sounds sweet. going to get another amp and strap em together and put both subs in 1 ohm. BUY IT!!!!! AND PLEASE INSTALL IT CORRECTLY, ITS AN AWESOME AM AND DOES NOT DESERVE THE BAD REP SOME PEOPLE GIVE IT.
by far one of the worst amps i ever bought(i've had 34). it blew pushing 2 12inch Kicker CompVR's @ a 4ohm load after 2 weeks. like anything else you get what you pay for.
I own 4 of these running 16 Kicker SSMB8's. Each amp running 1 ohm. I have had these for about 3 years and have installed them in 3 different vehicles. They work very well with the subsonic adjustable filter allowing me to make a band pass for my system. The only question I have is if they make full rated power.
