Product Reviews For SoundStorm Fs8

  • I have 6 of these in my 88 Ford Escort GT powered by 3 Sound Storm 1Fd1500 amps and they pound. I got carried away with my enclosure and amp rack tho. I built them so heavy my car will not pull the extra weight and as a result I have burned out my clutch trying to get it to move. I now sit in my front yard and pound all day. I get the cops called on me all the time but I can't run cause of the burned out clutch. Thinking of buying a new clutch and installing NOS to see if it helps.

  • it's a good woofer for the price, not for puting holes in the ground with every hit. but a good stock add on and bass lovur frome alabama comparable to the w7 lol. the w7 makes your eardrums feel like they are getting riped out of your ears!

  • Man these subs are insane. I put 2 of them in a ported box giving each one .2 cubic feet and these things hit 190db on a daily basis. They are constantly blowing out the windows in my ford excursion.

  • This subwoofer befits the cheap price, thus cheap bass. 'You get what you pay for.' Not worth the $20 I payed for it. These reviews are insane, not believable.

  • first things first, 190 db is almost impossible to hit on just 2 8's. 2nd thing, these speakers are ok at best. using them in a 1978 volvo, free aired in the back deck, they sound ok, but concidering all im using them for it to outshout my SBC, i just needed cheap speakers that i can replace without breakin the bank. these fit the bill.

  • Up in Smoke. If you want power coming out your ears, this is the subwoofer for you. I bought a even dozen 15's for my Geo Metro. I had to upgrade my alternator to 200A and buy spare engine wiring harnesses. Everytime I turn on the system, the wiring harness vaporizes. My SPL meter reads 210db after the smoke starts. Its awwwsome!TY OCS for the great site. Bubba

  • i have only seen 1 educated review on this speaker on this site,210db would kill you a grenade only almost touches 300 and it could tear down your whole house so to the idiot with the meter readind 210 blowing out smoke maybe its smoking cause your stuff is fried and to other dude who said your pumping out 190, right now the world record is 181.1012db and that took $1.6 million worth the bass and happened at sema in 2011 now on to the speaker,,, for the money its a great buy, altho if you want a sub im pretty sure $20 is a really really bad price cap but i mean if you literaly got like 10 of them im sure your car might flex a little befor you go up in smoke

  • I would like to educate Mike beats from mac audio. The loudest sound ever created was caused by the blast in Tangusta. That blast was the equivalent of a 1000 Mega Ton bomb which was recorded at 300db. A grenade's blast is only equivalent to 185db NOT 300. The loudest base produced at a concert was a 145db. And by the way, the soundstorm FS8 is, for it's very low price, an excellent speaker. When housed properly in a ported enclosure, it produces excellent base.
