i just bought 1 of these 12's and i have a 400 watt jensen amp hooked up in a single cab f-150 and it was louder then 2 kicker L7's with a 1000 watt amp. very impressed for such a low priced speaker.
i dont know about theses subs being louder that l7's. thats just crazy. but they do sound a whole lot better than cvr's. i am running two of these with the ma audio 1989i(800rms) in a slot ported box(1.74 each chamber), and they are loud. ive previously owned 2 cvr's. kicker is a good speaker, but when it comes to quality sound and loud bass, these kenwoods definitley beat cvr's.
These sub's are a great deal, the clarity of these subs will leave your ears ringing when you step out of your car. Good tight bass with a sealed box with good low end extension. These sub's are great for SQ, SQL or SPL. Just as good as any higher priced brands like Kicker, JL, Alpine, Polk, Image Dynamics! I just installed two of these in a 1.25 cu.ft sealed enclosure. With a Sony XM-2150GSX 2ch Amp sending 190 x 2. I have a Pioneer DEH-P5900IB head unit runnin the stock speakers in my 2001 Sebring Sedan. These things hit so deep and clean exactly what i wanted for a nice Sound Quality system. I couldn't imagine the Spl on these if in the recommended ported enclosure with even more power.
I have two of these in a smaller sealed bow on a kenwood 1000w amp and they kick like mules.The only problem is for them to sound right they need to be in a bigger box.

I have two of these hooked up to a Kac 7203 kenwood amp and a sony head unit and two 6 and a half door speakers and two 6 by 9's in the back and it thumps harder than anything i have ever heard and money value is amazing. but you might want to get a capacitor so you dont loose your battery. I recomend this to anyone thats wants a great system.
This sub is great for the price. I have it hooked up to a cheap jbl 160 watt 2-channel, and i dont know how but its actually amazing sound. The bass is great, the mids arent drowned out, and it sounds soo much better than my friends 2 kicker 10s on a 600 watt amp and less loud but far clearer than another friends 2 alpine 12s on the alpine v12 amp. I dont know how kenwood does it but they make a fine, very affordable sub.
these subs hit really well for the price, i have a 3000 watt class D crunch amp pushing these things. i was surpised at how much they could handle and they bump louder than n e one's system at my school. gr8 deal for the price

for the price id say these are the best choice. i had 2 of these hooked up to a 4000w pyle amp only cracked up 2 650 cuz my wires couldnt handle 1200, and they still hit dam hard. then i got 6 gauge wires, stepped out of the car my ears were ringing. i definatly recommend getting these if ur looking for sumthing cheap w/ ALOT of power
Very nice sub for the price. I went with one in my Explorer and it really hits hard I would highly recommend this sub and almost half the price than what it was at Circuit City.

I baught two of these and built a large sealed enclosure and baught a kenwood 1000 2chanel to push them and let me tell u that these sub are a steal for price and they slam..And the clearity of these subs is also suprizing...
This is an excellent sub. have 2 hooked up to the 1400 watt 2 channel ground punder by crunch. Excellent value. only need 8 gauge wiring kit to get full power.
I have a set of these and they are the best thing since homemade cake. I have them hooked up to a 300 watt Rockford bridged and the hit hard.
I had 2 of these hooked up to a 170w RMS Kenwood amp. I hardly noticed the difference between my 6x9's, so i bridged my amp to one of them and it hits harder than both of them did before. The subs are perfect but make sure you give them enough power. Amazing for the price.
these subs are alright i would think they would be alot louder than what they really are if u want a lot of bass u got to have a powerful amp if u dont they dont hit hard at all but the price is good

these subs are great they hit hard in a bandpass box but hit harder in a ported box powered by my lanzar vibe1800d great sound that won't thin your wallet.

I have 2 of these in My Dodge Ram powered by a Profile Ap2000.... I LOVE THEM!!! I had 2 10" kicker L7's and a hifonics 1606, and these kenwoods with the profile are louder, clearer, tighter, and better....The kickers were loud, but sounded muddy and distorted.... They have my rear glass in my expedition vibrating I dont wanna turn it up to loud cause i dont wanna lose that glass,and I can feel my teeth chattering. Ok first of all, the shipping was fast I ordered on a monday and got it on wednesday. Second of all the woofers sounds like a beast, i got it hooked up to a 1600watt hifonics with a 2farad copacitor pushing it. Man i cant even hear my treble. I am very happy with my order.
You would'nt believe that these 12 inch woofers just cost about a $100 a pair ,It makes you wonder why other subwoofers cost so much,They must be makeing a lot of profit. I was worried at first too because they are so cheap,but they don't look cheap,They say they handle 400watt RMS and 800watt maxium RMS and 1200watt peak,but They should just put 800watt RMS because they seem to handle 800watts pretty easy as long as it is clean. I have two of these in a ported box running off a Rockfordfosgate RF-X7 and it puts out 1700watts at 2 ohms. I had a pair of 10" R.F T110D2 and they did fine but I wanted to try a 12" woofer ,but did not want to pay $360 what a pair of 12" R.F T112D2 cost.To my surprise they did'nt sound bad infact they hit dam good and I like the saveings of over $250.The only fault which really is'nt if you don't want a dual input. I think Kenwood has a real winner on thier hands and the best part is that it does'nt cause a arm and a leg.Don't let the price scare you because they sound a lot better then a $100 pair of woofers. I have owned a lot of woofers including MTX,Rockfordfosgate,Kicker, JLaudio,Infinity and M&M ,some did sound a little better in S.Q and some did hit a little harder but also cost 8 to 10 as much as one of these keenwoods cost.These are well worth the money and will surprise you of how good they do sound.
They look good and have a high wattage rateing,but I havw yet seen anyone with a high quaility amp on them ,I see 1600 and 4000 watt amps but when you look at the actual power the amps don't come close to that power.So I am a little scared now ,I guess I will see what a Rockfordfosgate Type RF-X7 amp will do to them ,It puts out a true 1500 RMS watts at 2 ohms at 12.6v. ,actually the birthsheet says it puts out 1734watts at 14.4v
i have bought two of these for a 94 s10 ext cab these subs are pretty loud. i have 1200w going to each and they distort very little. these subs are louder than my friends rockfords and another friends audiobahns.these are well worth buying.
these are really good subwoofers, when in numbers, with the right amp, and speakers put all in one. if you want these to sound good, get a ported box and a quality excelon amplifier. my friend has a custom ported quad enclosure in his tahoe and it bumps pretty well. he has 2 excelons powering them with 8 kenwood speakers in the truck. not the best SPL though, i would prefer MTX, JL, or kicker way over these though. amazing for the price though, would recommend.
They look good ,but make sure you don'nt go by the wattage rateing that is on the side of the box which listed it at 400wattss minRMS and 800watts max RMS because they will not handle 800watts and they shorted out which fried my amp and they want do nothing about it even tho it is mainly there fault when they list them that way and about ten other sites that sell them list them that way.
Hook two of these to a Kenwood KAC 9202d and you'll meter at 134. Great value and sound nice.
dam these subs hit hard!!! i got two hooked up in my grand cherokee and they make my roof flex! i have them hooked up to a 1000 watt amp and they still sound damn good!!! these subs look so good to! i got my two in a folded horn box and it hits my system is loudest around
got two of these in a ported double slot box with the kenwood 7202 2- channel amp in a 87 buick park ave...omg can you say bang..my car feels like its gonna fall apart im shakin everything my exhaust even rattles.. these subs give you bang for the buck i blow out jl w3's and sony xplods..my rear view fell off twice..the best, kenwood class..
Set two up with a Kenwood KAC 9103d amp running a 2 ohm load in a ported box and you could hit 134 db. I could get louder but i'm a poor college student and cant afford dynamat yet.
I had two of these subs in a vented box and hooked up to a 1400watt sony xplod class D amp. Within a month these KFC's fried like chicken (Even though i broke them in properly). i did get good sound out of them and got a reading of 132Db's off the meter! I replaced them with boston G1 subs and they are still handling the power with no problems.
These subs hit hard, but one thing though is that these subs don't hit the very low frequencies. I've tried adjusting my amp to allow about 10hz lower than the rated lowest frequency and those lower frequencies aren't as loud as my cheapie hifonics 12" svc subs.
I hooked these up with a Kicker 08ZX700.5 Class D amp and a extra battery. Hits well, just need a few more items (new box, equalizer) to make these babies roar in my 91' Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, lol

These subs are good but... They don't handle what they call form as far as rms... I was pushing mine with a cerwin vega 600xl amp 600 rms and under rated but my 2 kenwoods fried... So i'm saying I wouldn't put no then 400 watts on 2 but they do sound good in 1.25 sealed enclosure...
I've got two of these in my '99 Bonneville, They are ridiculous with the sony xplod amp I've got. They're got 1000 running through them but they sound alot louder. I'd get a ported box with them too, you get a lot better range of high and low bass, still awesome with a regular sealed box though
There are definately better subs out there, but these do a good job for their cheap price. They need a little bigger box than clqaimed if you want them to sound like 12's. I have them in a 1.5 sealed box with a Kenwwod 1800W mono amp and they are loud, but htey lack the clarity of a better sub.
Yo Graland we need to get together cause i have true power(1 of them orion red amps from back in the day) going to mine and have not fried them but i dont have my amp turnned up. And the sound is crazy in a SPL box. I love them

The subs are worth the money, they hit with the right amp and also depends on what kind of music you listen to. I have the babys hooked to a 1000 watt kenwood kac-7252 without the remote and they still hit hard.

2 12s running at 2 ohms on a kicker 1250.1 class d 625 to each one. i know it sounds funny but its the best sub ive ever had. the cubic feet is wrong,ive got them in a 5 cubic foot sealed box, hits every note
best bang for the buck. blew away 2wjlw3,was using a kicker sx 1250.1, switched 2 a brutus 1200d. it doesn't matter what u think the brutus is alot better. dont understand why the subs sound soo soo good. keenwood forever. on my way 2 get 2 more, run them at 1 ohm, 4 4ohm single ohm subs = a 1 ohm load. mickey shorr in livonia, ask for mike per adam j.
Okay.. there cheap i know but i hade two of these in my 2000 camaro hooked to a cheaper amp sony 1200 2/1 channel amp an it cracked the subs they would always power down :( im not to happy i would go with JL i have them in my truck an there amazing!!

i have 2 of these hooked up to a 1000 watt kenwood amp in my s-10 and they are great! i turn heads every where i go. the only time i have lost a bass test was to my brother and his 2 kicker L7s. these speakers are bad ass! i would recomend they to anyone thats looking for some good quality sounding bass.
these subs bang when they work, i had them hooked up to a 500 amp insignia amp, the first sub's cone broke, maybe defective, but when the second one broke i knew they were cheaply made...
These are good subs. I have four of these in my 1975 Firebird hooked up to a 1700 Watt Kendood amp and they pound. Great subs for the price and Kenwood is good quality.
These subs are great! got two in a 2001 Chevy silverado running on an old alpine 800 watt amp its a lil bit of a tight squeeze but i did it they hit hard and have good sound quality as long as u are staying within RMS otherwise the plastic ring will crack and they go down hill from there but over all really good subs!
I put two of these into my 99 Camry hooked up to a 1000 watt kenwood amp and in the car the hit really hard. If you are looking for something that you can bump and not always be getting looked at these are a great fit, but don't get me wrong these thing can hit very hard. Great value for the money.

Ive had these subs now for 1-2 years, they hit hard, harder then i ever thought id get for the price, and they have virtually now wear to them, my only complaint was on my one speaker on of the audio wires came lose from the input connection and needed to be re-soldered, but other then that i highly recommend this to anyone.
i got 2 of these with the matchin 1,ooo watt one channel amp and these things wang i use to have a 1,500 watt 2 channel amp on'em but i recomend anyone who gets these to get the matching amp well worth the money most people can hear me 3 blocks away and they always ask if i got 2 or 3 15s! in the back lol great buy

Well this speaker was the first one i ever purchased, i had it hooked up to a infinity 1600a, it sounded decent untill 6 weeks later i fried the terminal wires going to the voicecoil!! Not capable of max power for prolonged time, it just couldnt handle the 400rms like higher end speakers will!!

I was quite impressed with the punch these babies had. had 2 of them in a dual vented box and only 200w rms to each and the things rattled my rearview off. The sodas in my cupholder would go flat....which was a pain. Do not underestimate these subs....they are more than worth the money
After my friend saw me with my old aw1206t he wanted me to set him up with some subs, so I bought him these, a dual 1.3 cu ft box, and had him use my MA Audio m1900xe amp, but right before I could install them he rolled his car... So for now I get to have them in my other car and they are Awesome! Never expected these to bang and rattle like they do. No other system that totals $310 can compare to this.
i got two of these in a dual ported box and a 800 watt ma audio amp running it...believe it or nt these subs do slam if you have the right box i had them in a dual sealed box before i got the dual and what a big difference well worth the money iv had them for a couple months now and the only thing that went wrong is i tore the tinsel leads because i didnt break it in but i just ordered a new one hope it gets here soon.....

great sub for what u r paying screw all the haters this is a great sub got 4-12s in a custom box with a power acoustic 5500x1 broke front windshield. only bad part is that they crack during the winter.
I bought one of these to go with a 1200watt sony xploid amp, and eventually added another 12" with it. the sub itself sounds great, and for its price id dare say theres no other choice. hit hard and reliably and got me a 150 dollar ticket. the only downside i had was that the inputs broke fairly easily and i was forced to modify the sub to continue using it. but that may have just been a defect.
Great sub especially for this price. Sounds pretty good but for the price id say there isnt a sub out there that can beat it. Warning to all though do not power this with a kenwood amp because they have overheating problems.
hi i have 4 of these subs in a sealed box about a foot tall, 2 nd a half to 3 feet back and about 3 to just over 3 feet wide. they're powered by a rockford fosgate p550.2 and hit hard as ever but i was wondering if i should have them ported and if so should i get a new box or have this one ported
I've had these speakers for about 3 years. Kenwood is a great brand and reliable. They are very good if you want to add some deep end to your music and are good if you wanna run an amateur setup, not ghetto, just amateur, they are very good for this and you will be very happy with them. If you are thinking about getting them, get em. You wont be disappointed.
I have two of these in a ported box built and tuned to factory specs.Powered by a Rockford R500.They hit hard and overall perform well.For the price they are a good deal.
F all the haters I bought 4 of these subs two years ago with two Alpine mrp-1000 for my 06 mustang. Not only did the subs set off alarms like crazy it cracked my trunk. These subs are a cheapscape dream.
This sub gets a bad rap from some people, but they prolly effed up the install or something like that cuz i have 3 of these hooked up 2 a 3000watt@1ohm single channel running at 1.3 ohms and it kicks ass. Hits harder and louder than anything else ive ever heard yet is still accurate and can quiet down when need be. GREAT value.
For only $65 after shipping, they can't be beat. Right now I only have one sitting in a crap box meant for some old vr3s and it still outperforms my friend's 2 rockfords. I've got it hooked up to a 5000 watt amp bridged. Might wire it down to 2 ohm in the near future. With a real box, this sub will blow anything within a hundred dollars out of the water.
I've had two of these for almost two years now with no problems. I've only had a 790 kenwood amp on them so i can't turn the bass past 0 without blowing a fuse.But they thump!! Honestly I'm about to get a 1200 watt amp to push and see what they sound like. But I've had them in two cars now and a good head unit makes a difference. I bought a brand new kenwood and they sound much better. And it's got a bass boast which make them beat twice as hard. Buy these subs if it's your first pair, they're a great buy and thump hard as hell.
I have 3 of these in a sealed box in my grand cherokee, hooked up to a Bazooka rsa800.1d P.Miller series Monoblock amp. I hit a 159.2 db in competition, and my amp is just below 3/4 at 750rms out of 924rms. It sounds so crisp and deep, and makes my eyes water and throat itch on low beats. Great value, and Id rather pay $180 for 3 of these than $900 for Kicker L7's. All you need is a sealed box and a high quality rms amp. These subs are unbelievable. At competition.. one believed i was running 3 kenwoods. Buy these subs!
