  • I have had a lot of subs in the past and these do very well for what they are. I now have Sony Explode all around my CRV with two 10's to a 1000w Sony Amp. I have another amp to the rest of the Sony speakers in the car. They do much better in a ported box with larger air flow as I have had the same speakers sealed as well. These subs will put a good hurting on your car and your ears. You will definitly be heard before seen. Sony is not the best name out there for car audio as far as I am concerned but they have come a long way. I will not change a thing in my CRV for quite some time...

  • bought 1 of these subs.. i had the lanzar subwoofer that looks like a tube made out of plexi the bandpass one ... anyways the sub from lanzar sucked so i put this one in it and chacnged all the screws in the box and boy does it hit hard cracked my windshild... also i got it hooked up too the sony slim mono amp now ... was hooked to the lanzar 1000 watt mono amp .. but the amp was to big... so i went for a slimmer one... hits perfect now..

  • This is a solid subwoofer it bumps just like a solo-baric but the advantage is that their only a fraction of teh price the only thing i don't like is that it doesnt have a dual voice coils but if you like to run small amplifiers at 2 ohms its perfect for you but be sure you put in a vented box. They move a lot of air and a sealed box will distort the sound terribly. I have two of these wired into my pontiac g6 with a 1400 watt 2 channel amp wired at standard 4 ohms i pissed alot of people off by setting of theri car alarms while their getting in. when i fold the seats down i can only turn the amp up to 1/4 power without it hurting my hears. Serious knock without serious money
