I have been into car audio for about 11 years now. I have seen and heard alot of products all over. I currently have a single 12" P2 subwoofer in a sealed enclosure which I built from 3/4 inch MDF board to Rockfords cu. ft dimensions. This sub is very good in sound quality and very good in output. If you are looking for high out put for a decent price, this subwoofer is perfect. In a ported box built to Rockfords specs(don't deviate calculations)this subwoofer is brutal in bass. I preffer rockfords specific ported box built by them over the cheap Q logic box which I do not like at all. But if you are like me and want maximum sound quality, put two of these together in sealed chambered boxes for the best results in a mix of output and sound quality. In general, a ported box will increse volume about 3 db average over a sealed box. But I am done with brutal bass and preffer clean tight bass. These subwoofers are perfect for either setup and if you are on a budget build, this sub is great.
I have two 12" P2's in a sealed chambered box, being pushed by a RockfordFosgate Punch P2 900 watt amp. I've got it in a 05 regular cab f150 and I have the bass turned all the way down on the amp and maybe halfway on my head unit and my remote bass, and I can't turn up my volume past 4 or 5 with out getting out or rolling down my windows. These are some awesome speakers for the money. I highly recomend them. The best thing I like is, is that they give a lot of bass and a hell of a hit, and they don't distort or muffle out my highs coming from my mids and tweeters. Again, I highly recomend these subs and a rockford amp.
I Have Two Of These 12"subs Matched Up With A Rockford P6002 In A Econoline 150 And It's Hitting Hard As Hell.Believe Me You Will Love These Subs.Oh You Will Need A Capacitor.
I have two 12" P2's in a sealed inclosure with a 1000 watt Kenwood amp and these things pound pretty good. I bought my setup off of a friend for 160 and I couldn't be happier with this as my first setup...these things are very durable and will last a long time. I am kinda dissapointed that they can't hit the really low notes that well but the mids and highs are great. I have them in the trunk of my 98 a4 and you really can't hear them from the outside unless i turn them up all the way... I do have them on the stop deck so they would be even louder on an aftermarket HU...overall i'm very happy with these subs as my first system.
Got 1 of the P2 12"...all i got to say is WOW!!...this thing hits hard for the specified 250rms(not its max rms)..This sub is under rated rms wise,I got it running of the t500 Rockford amp its gain is about 3/4 way up and my p2 handles it for hours of playing on high volume without bass quality loss.. I have this sub for aprox 1 year now and the bass sound fresh as the day I got itstill shocks me everyday I hear it.
i have two of these in a ported box, being ran by the p400.2 and i havnt finished tuning the amp yet and just had it mettered at 133.2db ..... i think thats pretty good for one of rf's weekest subs ... overall i do recomend these subs
i got two of these in my nissan hard body truck ext cab. with a pioneer amp and all i got to say is that they hit big time...... they hit pretty nice for the price... i recommend this to any who doesn't want to spend big bucks and still get the sound they want !!!!!
I just put this into a Envoy with a p300 amp with a sub control at my fingertips and I can't turn my stereo up all the way anymore... I had the p1's and felt I was missing something and so glad I upgraded to the p2's and I am not even maxing them... for the 100 bucks well worth the money... you will be turning heads!!!!!
2 of these hooked up to my P500-2. I love it. It blows my old P3s out of the park. Hurts my ears and thumps my chest. every car ive put them in they prevail. love it. Must have
