OH my Gosh! I was sceptical of buying this amp because i owned a kenwood excelon 1600 watt amp and loved it until it got soaking wet an fried it. (dont Ask im still bitter) But holy cow this amp exceded my expectations! I dont think i have ever heard a louder amp for the money peirod! clean clear power! Me and my cousin bought this amp the other day we were testing it out with the bass boost all the way down i got the volume to about 25 (it goes to 50, so about half way) and the battery meter almost drained. (you might need to upgrade your altinater and/or battery this takes so juice.) but i couldn't take anymore from it at 25 an believe me i like extra extra loud music so if you dont turn it up that loud to often you could probly get by. but oh my gosh best amp for the money i promise you will love it PROMISE!
I bought this amp a couple of days ago to put it on my to twelves. I had a 1500 watt boss audio class d chaos amp pushing two power acoustik fubar 12's in a ported box. I want to try another amp out just to see if it would make my subs hit harder. This amp quakes. This makes my 12's hit 2 times harder that the other class d amp that i had. With the other amp you could hear me a block and a half but with this amp you can hear me for two and a half blocks and a have a honda accord. You need to have a capacitor to push this amp cause this amp drains major power. I have a three farad power acoustik cap and it still drains like crazy. I would recommend this amp to anyone who wants to feel the bass in your chess and ear piercing sound. This amp is definitely worth the money. I am going to get a another one.
I just recieved this amp today. I have it on 2 Infinity Q-Reference 1242's wired down to 1 ohm. The sound quality is ridiculous and the amp was well worth the money. The only problem I have had is setting the controls. They are tricky with the 1 ohm load because the amp will shut down if the sensitivity is set to high without a setting the bass boost accordingly. But it makes my subs hit so hard it is crazy, when I was testing it the bass knocked pictures off of the walls in the house!!! Well worth the money and I would definitely reccomend it to anyone that has the speakers to handle it.
I bought this amp to run 1 Soundstream T4-12 and it SLAMMED at 2 ohms. It was so good it was stolen 2 days after install. But from what I got out of it is remarkable. Get it all tuned right and it wont clip at all. Real nice and worth the money.
I bought this amp about 3 weeks ago and i currently have it on 2 solar baric 12's and it pushes like crazyi just purchaed and optima battery for my trunk. I have gotten two disturbing the peace tickets since i got this amp so i recomend this amp to everyone
i have this amp hooked up to a pair of Alpine Type-R subs hooked up at a 1 ohm load. it puts out great sound, but my amp keeps shutting off once i push it passed a certain volume. there are only a few amps that say they are 1 ohm stable and truly mean it (this amp not being one of them). great amp for the money, but if your trying to connect at 1 ohm you may want to consider another amp
This is a really great amp i must say, right now i it hooked up to two 12" Kicker CVRs which are capable of handeling about 800watts(RMS). The way i have everything wired... Im actually pushing out 900wats(RMS). The sound quality is great, and trust me...with this amp u'll be heard from quite a distance. If you don't have this amp...get it!
I have this amp hooked up to 2 12" MTX subs at 400rms each ran at 1ohm. Then I ran it at 1 ohm with 2 12" hifonics. At first the amp was blowing fuses. Then it just started getting hot and shutting off every 2 minutes when i ran the volume past 25. I the switched the subs to 4ohm with both subs. It kept blowing fuses with the MTX subs, but never had another problem out of the amp with the hifonics subs. I would only recommend this amp if you intend to run at 4ohms. I got to noise violations with 500 watts.
I have this amp hooked up to one 12 inch mtx sledgehammer 8500 and it pounds i have the bass boost set on about 4 and the bass on my head unit set at negative six.. it is the loudest system at my school..turns heads driving down the street great amp for the price
i have this amp hooked up at 2 ohms to my 12" alpine type x and i hit 139 decibels. This is the best amp for the price. thanx ocs.

Just bought this amp and must say I'm highly impressed. I have it hooked up to two 15 inch Kicker Comp VR'S . This makes my truck rattle like crazy. The back tailgate door on my Avalanche Pulsates in and out.. I can be heard so far away its rediculous. I can only turn the volume up on my unit to about 15 then its a wrap after that. The amp is so powerful that if I turn it up more than that my subs go out.. I have the bass boost on maybe 4 and thats all I need.. Nice amp.. Great price..
I got 2 Audiobahn 12" hooked up to this amp at 4ohms and 500 watts rms. This amp is a beast. Makes the subs sound bomb. I've had it 4 a koo minute and it only got hot once. Great quality 4 a great price. The retail 4 this is like $300 or more. It's only $200 on OCS. Buy this amp. It's worth it. I'll put money on that.
I bought this amp and a kicker wiring kit for my two 12" Alpine Type E's, and it was way too powerful. Traded in those Type E's and bought two 12" Alpine Type R's, and what can I say. They beat so hard you can hear me before I come down the street. A++ Product!
I bought two of theses beasts and i had them on 4 audiobahn 10" subs rated at 900rms each so i thought it would be a perfect match. It made them pound like an earthquake but it ran hot too often. Kenwood needs to build a fan for this amp and it would be the perfect amp. Make sure your amp power outweighs the sub power if you want continuous play. Like the amp still though
I have this amp on a L7 12@1ohm with a ported box and it is awesome i haven't had any problems with it overheating. It is the best amp for the money i have ever purchased and i have had alot- kicker,punch,jl audio,and audiobahn all class d's.
I needed a nice amp to power my rockford T1 12 S and this amp makes my sub hit so hard my face shakes when im driving...for the price amazing .. can never go wrong with this amp..prior to this i had a kicker KX500.2 does not even come close and i payed 300 for it...
1ST THING I MUST SAY IS THIS AMP DOES.. I REPEAT DOES HAVE A COOLING FAN!! I have it hooked up to an Alpine Type R 2 Ohm and its barely even trying and My sub is bout to jump out of the box. Im Getting the 4 Ohm Version and hook it up at 2 Ohms to really get this amp going. ITS AMAZING how its clear and strong. Great Amp. Would recommed for Single Sub Hookups. Thats Just me. Im In love with this amp. The Blue Illumintion Under the Control Panel is Tight and Dumb at the same Time. But is still great! GREAT PRICE ON HERE TOO!!
I love this amp, I have it on a 2 farad cap with 2 12" kickers routed at 2 ohms (I might do one later) but it beats. I havent even touched the bass boost on the amp, and I keep my subwoofer level on half on my deck. Cant beat it, I love Kenwood amps.
I have this amp hooked up to two Orion HP-12D4's 4 ohms each sub wired down to 1 ohm and it holds up good haven't had a problem with it cutting out yet. I did have it at 4 ohms and it still hit hard now it hits so hard it blurred my vision when I drive! this is a great amp for the money.

I got this amp about 1yr ago. but I got it from crutchfield so price was higher. I had it hooked up too 2 12" polk db blew 1 fuse under the hood due to buning up 1 of my subs. foun this site 2 days ago and I going to get 2 new 12" subs haven't decided on those yet but will be geting them frome here.
I have this amp hooked up to 2 12" kenwood KFC-W3011 subs at 4 ohms each so the amp was seeing a 2 ohm load. At high volume amp kept clipping off every 2 minutes so i had to wire the subs in series and now it does'nt miss a beat and this thing definitely has some power just wish i could play it at 2 ohms. It never overheats and has a great crossover i really like it
Ive bought this amp twice on two diff occassions. Doesnt have a fan to cool it so beware in the summer time! Used to run 2 dual 4 ohm CV subs. The shop that installed it said it was pushing about 1350w before the signal got dirty and started to clip. That was more than enuf for the CVs as i blew one in about a week. Ddnt have my system metered bc that wasnt important. Just good music and good times! For the $$ its pretty good. Id buy it again but only the one with the fan to protect it.
this baby powers my two MTX 12" 7500's and wow. the sound clarity and bass is so rediculous that when i step out of my car i can't hear anything! kenwood doesnt mess around with their stuff, and this shows it. each bass hit recoils and possibly weakens, because each hit keeps rolling and doesnt sound individual. this amp stops that and you hear every single bass hit, and it works for the speakers as well. two thumbs up for sure.
I have this amp powering 2 12" rockford fosgate p3's and it slams... I have the bass boost about a quarter of the way up and its plenty of power. Excellent sound quality
IVE BEEN DOIN STEREO COMPETITIONS FOR YEARS AND I WAS ALWAYS STUCK ON CERTAIN AMPS, I NEVER REALLY THOUGHT OF KENWOOD TO BE THE MONO BLOCK AMP MAKING TYPE UNTIL MY WIFE LOOKED AT THIS ONE, I MUST ADMIT THAT IM REALLY IMPRESSED WITH THIS AMP, AND TO MAKE IT BETTER, WE PUT IT ON A PAIR OF ALPINE TYPE R 12s..... WHAT A GREAT COMBO, MAYBE ALPINE AND KENWOOD SHOULD MAKE A COMBO PACK WITH THIS SETUP.....
Can't beat it for the price! I have it runnin 2 12" MTX 5500s and they hit HARD! it doesn't get very hot at all and it hasn't cut out once!
