Product Reviews For Pioneer GM-5300T

  • GREAT! excellent sound, lots of power at a good price. The built in crossovers work excellent.... you'd think I spent a lot more on a fancier amp.

  • I found this amp on sale for $75.00 new and couldn't resist it at that price. I hooked it up to a pair of Kicker Comp subs and it plays nice and loud all day long, doesn't get too warm at all. It's still a value at $119. There are large connectors to handle 4 AWG wire, and no need for allen wrenches to hook it up. It's not a "looker", but it blends in just fine with the black carpet in my trunk. I tried bridging one of the Comps to see how well it handled the load - no problems there either, though it warmed up just a little bit. A small nitpick: there's no adjustable low-pass filter, only a low-pass ON/OFF switch. If you already have a crossover in your system or head unit, this won't be a problem, but the LPF is set a little too high for some types of music and you can't adjust it on the amp. Same thing for bass boost - there's a switch instead of a dial. Overall, it's a solid amp.

  • Bought it to power two 6x8's in the back of the car; expected a high-pass filter as well. Didn't have that. Not a big deal, though. It drives very clearly and I recommend it for any mids, tweeters, or full-range speakers. Not quite powerful enough for subwoofers, but if you're not looking to shake the earth, you can definitely use this to bring out some clarity in your mids and highs.

  • This is a great amplifier for my speakers. It is pumping 406w RMS at 2 0hms to my speaker fronts and backs, the bass control feature is nice, and it is bigger, but fits in my trunk easily. Good for the money I got it for $80 and it is worth it.

  • I had this amp in my wifes car. It was pushing two DUAL 10s. The speakers are rated at 150 watts RMS each. The amp would cut out everytime I cranked it up and I couldnt figure out why. My buddy at work told me to change from bridged to normal and it should work fine. Well by that time I had already ordered the Sony xm-D9001GTR from this website and I just hooked it up and it rocks the two 10s. Anyway the pioneer 760W is a good amp but I would get something else.

  • I BOUGHT THIS AMP,AND TWO CERWIN VEGA TWELVES FOR $100 BUCKS. WHEN BRIDGED, IT HITS HARD, BUT CUTS OUT ON THE LOWS. RAN IT STRAIGHT AND FOR SOME REASON IT HITS EVEN HARDER. I GOT EM IN A 92' MUSTANG HATCHBACK SO THAT HELPS A LOT. BUT EVER SINCE I UN BRIDGED IT IT NEVER CUT OFF AGAIN. I PUMPED IT FOR ABOUT 5 HOURS STRAIGHT AND IT KEPT IT COMIN SO ITS ABOUT AN 'EIGHT' UNBRIDGED AND IN A HATCHBACK. LOL
