  • This amp is great for a single 8" woofer or a small 10" but it's not a power house for subs your better off running your front or rear stage with this amp, they have excellent sound quality but soundstream amps are power hungery.

  • mr. tim. maybe you should research the power handling of your sub vs the RMS output of the amp. See a difference? Right component for the right application buddy. This amp is made to drive low watt single subwoofer systems. It would be entertaining to hear your components run off a mono amp though.

  • The first two reviews are pretty funny guys. Re: review #1, this is a Class D monoblock amp - you have to run low impedences (multiple subs or voice coils wired in parallel to produce the 2 ohm load) or you'd be better off buying a bridgeable amp. Secondly re: review #1 it's class D so it's not full range (only exotic $$ Class D is full range) and it's mono so you can't drive stereo speakers with it. Thirdly (relating to reviews #2) class D amps are not power hungry, they are super efficient. Old school Soundstream was power hungry because they were the kings of exotic Class A (super inefficient, ultimate Sq) and ultimate low impedance Class AB amps (eg: my old Reference 500s). Class D is inherently designed to be the opposite of power hungry (super efficient) but anything will draw a lot of current if it's designed to (eg: high output monoblocks) and you drive it to its limits. Anyone buying monoblocks needs to understand impedance loads. The ideal application for this amp would be a 4 ohm dual voice coil sub (2 ohms in paralell) in a ported configuration (twice as efficient as sealed, so your 175w rms is like having 350w).
