Product Reviews For Soundstream SCX-6

  • I purcahsed this cap because it was 6 farads and because it looked cool. I then recieved it and was totally disappointed it is not chrome on the outside it is like a cheap brushed aluminum plastic. The connection pieces lose power occasionally so you have to move them around because they come unlocked. I have the thing hooked up to a 1000 watt alpine amp and with it doesnt even make a difference as far as my headlights not dimming so be careful... PRODUCT DOES NOT ACTUALLY LOOK AS DISPLAYED OR ATLEAST MINE DIDNT!!!!

  • This capacitor was pretty disappointing. I've got a 3000 watt soundstorm amp (really only puts out about 900 watts max) and a 15" PowerAcoustik competition subwoofer. My lights still dim even with such a small amp. The capacitor looks and feels cheap. I woke up this morning to find my battery completely dead and i didn't even bang my system hard at all yesterday. I would not reccommend buying this for high powered systems

  • do either of you two have the proper battery or alternator hooked up to your battery? i have two kicker l7's and over a 4000 watt amp in my car and i think it does just fine, i think the main problem is both of you probably put the systems in by your self and didnt know how to do it properly...a cap is meant to store extra battery power just in case its not meant to run the entire system by itself, i think the problem for both of you lies in yourselves, not the equipment.

  • this cap is just what i was looking for. it works as advertised. if you have a problem with it then you oblivously dont understand car audio. the girl before me to rate this cap knows her systems. and i for one agree with her. what is a cap for? not letting all your friends touch it and see its cheaply made but for them to see and say "damnthat looks good" then to hear it and say "wow i wish mine sounded like yours" this will do that for you. no light dimming unless you cat install it correctly then youre doomed to begin with but it looks the part and plays the part beautifuly.

  • I am running 6 alpine type r's and i know how to install my stuff... i am running 4500 watts rms "trsted for output on the rms" and that cap was just fine. tested it on my set up for a friend. if yours is not working right than give it to me. you should not install your own stareo if you cant make this cap kick but.. my number is 916 9104129.

  • i bought this capacitor says its a 6 farad as you know its supposed to be 1 farad =1000watts so 6farad=6000 watts but when you get the box it says 1500 to 2000 watt systems i got a hifonics 2000 watt rms amp with two alpine type r 15 and i have charge the capacitor my lights used to dim alot but with this capacitor they still dim if you want some good current there is no cheap way get optima yellow top battery or kinetic 2400 seriess or higher
