if your looking for a great sq sub and a little bit of spl id suggest trying one of these bad boys. dont let the name fool you because of being familiar with the brand, be one of those first consumers who start to build up its name in fame. just installed mines today and juging on how it sounded and felt i give it a 9.5 out a 10 because its not breaken in yet , imagine when it is. my set up: pioneer 980bt(head), kicker comps(frnt), pioneer mid(rear), 1000pzi crunch(amp, probabely underpowerin sub), t5 12 in 2.5 cube ported tune to 34. overall may not be the best sub out there but i could garantee its in the top 5 in its price range and specs(900rms). good job soundstream and OCS for your awsome product and service serving hawaii
I have a hifonics brutus hooked up to 2 of these and wow. These subs weigh 30 pounds a piece and his so hard as so low i couldnt believe it. it is actually a sound stream when you listen to them, you dont listen to music you feel music. after listening to these for a week i got in a friends car and couldnt even hear his Type R's- no lie and i outpounded a pair or T-1's. this sub is the real deal and easily shakes my windshield wippers
The two T5-12 I bought, it make my truck raddle!!!. They are powered by a Sounstream PCA-2000, these subwoofers are worth buying. this woofers are tight that's all I got to say.
I decided to go with a single sub setup and picked up this t5-12, all i can say is wow this works amazing-if you want loud with good sq then soundstream is for you.pounds with no sign of stress even at the 900-1000rms limits,dont take my word,at this price try it youll be glad you did
I absolutely love this sub! One twelve easily out-pounded my 2 12in. MA's. It takes everything my amp can put out and then some. Make sure you go ported and this speaker will amaze you. Quality!!!
I recently bought 2 t512s and they sound nice!!!! I'm currently powering it with a Crossfire VR2000D and those things are pounding. They're in a ported enclosure (suggested) and are tuned to 36 hertz. They're worth the money!!
I got 2 of these and powering then with 2 soundstream TRX2000 and iam getting 158.9 db's these subs are the best ive gotten they have long range bass distance and i give then a 10/10
Yeah i recently bought these from a local dealership who just started carrying them. I'm the only one in the area code that rocks these soundstream, but they pound. They're hooked up to a 4300 watt flame series audiobahn amp. wow.
i only have one in a 2.5 cubic foot super bass probox, and a 1600watt planet audio torque amp. and still beatin harder than any of the "every-day" system's around here. worth every penny.
I've got one of these in my G6 and it is nothing short of incredible. I have a Soundstream 1000.1 running this at 1000 watts 1 ohm stable and it hits so hard and clean. Everyone that gets in my car thinks I have at least 2 12s installed. Don't skimp on the box though. I had a custom built box, decent quality and this sub rocked it so hard that the port busted loose. Now I've got it in high end box and it knocks even harder since nothing is flexing. Soundstream has been producing quality electronics since 1983. I highly recommend this sub to anyone that like their music loud and clear.
Absolutely insane! Weighing 30 lbs, these subs POUND! My system contains 2 bulk packs of dynamat, 2 TRX1000D amps, 2 T5-12 subs, Soundstream SST6.5, Soundstream SST6.9, TRX4.660 4 channel amp powering those, custom made ported box with 2.7 cu.ft per chamber, 40 farad Tsunami capacitor, Soundstream VIR-7355 DVD head unit, Soundstream 7-band eq, and all connected by Tsunami 1/0 gauge amp kit. Talk about king kong in the TRUNK! I tear up the streets, with the 2nd best system in the city, under 3 MMATS Juggernaut 15's pushing 12000 watts. Best sounding sub, hitting all the lows and highs. You will not be dissatisfied! Especially at this price!
I got a pair of t5 12" soundstream hooked up to a 2600 watts hifonics brutus D class amp. Man this this subs got some power, riding around got alarms going off. Clean clean. Definitely WINDOW SHAKERS. Thinking of a 3rd 1.
let me tell you a hive two of these runing on two jl500/1 amps....each of these amps put out over 800rms true power i have it in a dual ported box i built custom to specs. with 2.5ft3 of air for each sub and it is ported to 33hz.... Icant hear anything everything is shanking and falling apart..... Im going to get it on a meter to see how loud it is....then ill let yal know what i hit.....but by far the best subsss!!!!!!
i am currently running a pair of these t5-12's hooked up to a hifonics brutus 1600 watt amp and i love em ! i had switched over from mtx woofers and i honestly like the soundstreams better. i would highly recommend them to anyone serious about car audio. just so you know, my windshield FLEXS now big time
Great sub! I have one T5-12 running with a hyponics brutus 1200watts 1channel mono amp and it sounds great! I put it up against a w6 and the bass that it produced is jsut about the same! Definitely recommend to anyone!
I just got one t5 12 and man this sub ripps ive gone threw 3 boxes due to port bieng broken my system contains soundstream vcd-31 head unit and 1 piccaso 1.1000d amp 1000rms at 1ohm and soundstream t5 12 love this sub but i need a biger box i only got it in a 1.5cft box but it still slumps
One the best speakers out there got to on 1500 watt audiopipe class d and it gets down flexs the hole car and only running half power amp gain at half im a 2.5 foot cubic box with one fuse block extra battery caps with pionneer deck definitely recommend if your just starting out on car audio cause one the best subs ive bought so far...
I've been doing car audio 16 plus years these T5s really impressed me. I have two in a ported box hooked up to a Rockford fosgateT10001BD old school style!!! Sounds amazing !! Perfect setup! I highly recommend these subs! Even soundstream amps are are doing some things! Soundstream team!
