Product Reviews For Pioneer Premier DEH-P790BT

  • I bought this deck the day they put it on the site. I also bought an eq, but I only installed premier the first day. It made my sub hit a hell of a lot harder, but kinda lowered the sound out of my factory highs. Its ok though cause now I have two sets of Diamond Audio 6-1/2 componets on the way. Thank you onlinecarstereo for having these ultra low prices so that the little people can get big sound...

  • The best pioneer unit I have ever purchased. I had a few questions while setting it up but the functions answered all of them. Make sure your phone has the vcard transfer (for bluetooth) feature by going to your phone book and hitting options on one of the names (verizon). If not, you need to check your software version and have it updated at one of the stores. Also dont forget to register the unit on the functions to make sure it connects automatically. GOOD LUCK!

  • Bought this CD player through onlinecarstereo, and am very happy with it. Setup/install was simple - the built it bluetooth works much better than expected. The iPod connection is quite handy as well, and I love shuffling through all my songs. The iPod interface is awful compared to actually using an iPod, but that is not what I bought this radio for. The iPod does of course charge when plugged in, but trying to find what you want to listen to is difficult and when you exit from the menu and enter again you have to start back at the top which is confusing. The radio side of things works great - I don't mind not having dedicated preset buttons, I don't listen to that much radio. I can not comment on the mp3|wma|AAC playback as of yet- I have not tried. Everything else is great! The faceplate is very easy to remove and put back on, and this radio is simply beautiful any time of day. (it is a little bit harder to read in sunlight to be honest)

  • Just got this unit about a month ago, what can I say other than it's awsome, bluetooth works great, no echo's, only minor drawback is the manual is a little baffling, other than that I LOVE IT!!!!!

  • Got this head unit the other day and installed it into a chevy silverado. I have 2 10" L7 Kickers and Polk mids and highs. The set up sounds wonderful. This head unit is probably the best one I have had. The Bluetooth works exceptionally well. READ THE MANUAL. I tried to use the bluetooth before reading the manual and got very frustrated because the headunit would not connect to my phone everytime I got in the truck. After reading the manual I found out I needed to register the phone to the headunit after the initial pairing between the phone and the head unit. Now it connects perfectly everytime. Excellent little head unit.

  • This deckis far and away better than the deck that replaced it! I have had it now for about a month and I can only say that I absolutely love it. The 4 volt pre-outs are good but could be better and the CD signal to noise ratio can be improved as well. But those are my only two complaints. The iPod function is very useful and the built-in 7 band EQ is a total plus. I have this deck running two sets of MB Quart Reference series components and two Elemental Design !0" subs and it sounds great. It is a great SQ setup as everything is crisp and clear, but the iPod sound is better than the CD. The FM tuner is great as is the multi-IP bus control from the headunit. I have a rear seat DVD player that I can control from this deck as well as a Sirius radio, both hooked up through the IP-Bus system. Which finally brngs me to the bluetooth...people can't even tell I am using it. Great, great feature! Don't get the 2008 model, you'll be wasting money. Get the 2007 model and get way more bang for the buck!
