  • I bought this along with a pair of Kenwood KFC-6972ie and if you are looking for an upgrade for the stockys in your beast, get this deck with those 6x9's. This deck is more than enough for anything and looks great. A little weird to use at first but you learn quick. Love it. Thanks Kenwood

  • When I got it I looked around a lot and decided that HU is exactly what I wanted to replace the old-school knob radio in my '83 K5 Blazer. I was looking for something simple, inexpensive and I didn't want a bunch of features I'd never use. I've gotten older and listen to a lot more talk-radio and a lot less Lynyrd Skynyrd! I also wanted a rotary volume control. Turns out that the only thing bad about this HU are the controls. You pretty much HAVE to use the remote to change the volume b/c you almost always depress the control knob and get in a sound menu when trying to turn the volume up. I still haven't figured out a good way to exit that sound menu, especially when driving -- it's dangerous! If it didn't ship with a remote, I'd say to stay away from this one -- since it does ship with a remote, as long as you don't mind using the remote to control the HU, it's not as bad as it could be. The remote also has a lot of control and functions. Overall it's a good HU with a lot of power and a lot of useful options at a bargain price. I gave it a 5 rating overall just because of the volume/control issue. As far as sound and power, it's great.

  • i bought this HU to replace my stock one in my 2001 gmc jimmy diamond edition. i had 4 alpine sps' in the doors and wow the sound improved atleast 5 fold! 99bucks makes this one hell of a deal, considering you get the aux in the front. there is really nothing wrong with this item just some things that could be a little better: the light around the silver knob is a little bright at night would be nice if it dimmed but only the screen does. alot of people have been complaining about the silver knob being too sensitive i do not concur. the only problem with it is i wish it had seprate knobs for tempo bass and mid levels but with everything being compact i dont see this happening. with the remote it is easy as hell to tune so its no biggie. overall this is a very very good value. i researched for weeks on what radio i would buy with a price range being under $150, that journey lead me to this lil guy right here.
