had two of these 12" subs for over 3 years , paid more then they are now.. and they were still a great deal then, these subs can be heard from up to 7 blocks away with only a 1000 watt rms amp running at 4 ohms... and thats even underpowerings them! durability is insane... ive abused them and pushed them hard, sound quality is still outsanding! WORTH THE MONEY !!! BIGTIME! as the last poster said.. spend thousands.. but these babys keep up just fine with anything in my city..... Rating A++ PS: underpowering them leaves a VERY slight sound distortion.. only because the amp is overowkring... power these with a 3000 watts amp, and i think youll be INSANELY pleased :-P
Shinemaster Designs, LLC (FSSM) I've had these subs for over four years now and out of all the subs that I have had in the past these subs are truely worth the price! These subs are excellent in price and value even though the price has gone up alil since I first seen them a year ago. But for a sub priced under $100.00 you really can beat the price though! This sub performs well matching evenly if not greater than other subs in the same power class! I've used these subs in competition and they do hold up well in high SPL. The last amp I've used on them was a slasher series JL 500/1 mono block amp. At 1 ohms This amp really pushed them good with good sound quality and amazing depth! I enclosed in a ported probox! Even though the sheet calles for a sealed enclosure! I've also used a Rubicon 1000.1 mono block amp on them and they held up well giving them the loudness that can definately be heard! They also held up with a bigger amp outside their spec rating! We powered them with a 5000 watt mono block amp, doing sound burst and they still held up! No burn no smoke! You really can beat these subs up and for an inexpensive woofer like I said before well worth your money! Good job SSL you have truely designed and build a solid woofer!
