Well, after almost 7 years of abuse and Minnesota temperature extremes, I finally locked up a driver in my old Polk MOMOs. I did a lot of car audio back in the day, even competed with a friend of mine in USACI sound quality competition, so I have a pretty finicky ear. Well, my budget isn't what it was back in the day (married now), and I just wanted something to sound decent. Knowing that Diamond makes phenominal top end equipment, I decided to give these a shot. While not as ballsy as my MOMOs, they are absolutely phenominal for the price. I have never heard an entry-level that sounds this good. Could use a little more low end, but the midbass and the high frequencies are very natural and not at all harsh. Overall, very, very impressed, best bang for the buck I've seen in a long time. If you're looking for good sound at a great price, look no further!
These speakers rock!!! I installed them in my Honda civic and put them on a old skool 4ch Sony with a pair of alpine r 6x9. My god, I literally have a studio in my craptastic car. These speakers are so accurate that you hear details and instruments in music that you to never thought existed, and the soundstage is so huge, if you close your eyes you would have no idea you were in such a small car. I have listened to a lot of components from a lot of companies and nothing comes close to the d3 in this or twice these in this price range. My only suggestion is make you have a pretty good amp because they need a lot of power and that you adjust the crossover correctly and music well come alive
very impressed with these... I have them in the front and rear of my 240sx powered by a 4 channel alpine amp...and they sound amazing... I upgraded from a set of pioneers, what a difference...so much mid's once they are broken in, and the highs are very crisp.
