Product Reviews For Pioneer Premier DEH-P600UB

  • Great product and fast delivery. I have four 6.5in. pioneer speakers in my car and the last cd player I had was a Kenwood and I never got the bass response that I wanted. Now it sounds like I have my subs hooked up but I don't. It's perfect. Haven't hooked up my iPod yet. Thanks Online Car Stereo!!

  • I dropped the best unit pioneer made in 2002 for this one and have been pleased, with a few exceptions. The connectivity and menus are great. Like the iPod control and ease of navigation. What I don't like is the adjustability. I don't miss all the soundfield/BBE stuff on the old one, but the 7 band EQ and bass boost combo on this unit don't work for me. I haven't put that much time into it yet, but if you are used to mega-adjustability, this is about 75% there. Otherwise, I think it is a great value in USB/iPod control and I'm pretty pleased. If you have a stock system, the adjustability will be just fine.

  • Wow.. This deck is just excellent. The sound quality is just superb, and the adjustability is great also. The controls are really easy to use once you get used to them. Overall the performance and looks are just great!!

  • This unit has great sound quality, and so far it has been reliable, but that's about the only positive thing I can say about it. I removed it from my custom 25' jetboat and stuck it in my travel trailer. It still sucks (MHO) to use. See below. Although you can learn the functions, the menus are more difficult and unintuative to use than any other deck I've ever owned. (Have spent upwards of 20k over the years-I've used a lot of stereo equipment.)Keep in mind that the owner's manual is a CD that holds over 60 pages on a PDF file. With not too many clicks, I can rip, download, upload, burn, categorize and share files on my laptop. Why does this deck have to make JUST PLAYING music so hard? Try programming radio channels and then selecting them via remote or deck. My thumb covers 1/2 of the buttons on the remote in any single row. With all those functions, try hitting just one. The multi-use rocker is too softly spring loaded and unprecise. You'll hit the wrong function, and then have to figure out what happened. Hope you're not driving or in a boat. Many of the deck functions are not lit and in fact can't be read without direct light. Keep a flashlight handy until you memorize the entire deck. I highly recommend checking out other decks. Look for a face that has easy to use pause, skip, folder, tone and volume controls. If it has a barely spring loaded rocker control, bag it, unless you have the hands of a surgeon and your car/boat/plane rides like a sofa. Same for the remote. Look for one that has basic functions in a large enough size you can hit them when driving or whatever. How many functions do you actually need? Volume, play, pause, source, skip, change AM/FM channels? Very important-the door barely opens enough to get your CD out. If you hit any bumps, or are slightly careless, you will scrape your CD on the opened face plate. I only use the radio or USB on mine. Keep in mind I'm not slamming the quality of this unit-just its functionality. It has a great pre-amp section and sounds as great as the system you hook it to. I do feel that the bozos who figured out the controls and menus, and especially the execs who approved the design should be let go. I switched to an Alpine. Easy to use. Remote was larger with only the functions I needed. Spring loaded stuff was heavy enough I don't accidentlly change settings with every bump in the waves or road. Not promoting Alpine. There are a lot of great decks out there in this digital world. It's more a matter of what suits your requirements and is quality enough for the price.

  • This is a great head unit for its money. Many people think that Alpine makes the best head units on the market, but Pioneer is right up there next to them. This head unit lets you control your iPod through the head unit or through the iPod. It charges the iPod and when you turn your car off it pauses the iPod and turns it off. When you get back in it leaves the song right back at the last time played. This head unit is very fast when it comes to selecting songs or waiting for it to find your iPod. The sound quality for this head unit is out standing. It improved my stock speakers a lot, and after installing my JL Audio TR series speakers my car rides have been much more enjoyable.

  • hay dumbass from washingtion, Loose some weight so your fingers can do more. also You are not electronic savy nor do you know how to use a computer. If you need to look at the manual, and you have a lap top then open the CD on the laptop while you are next to the pioneer. Of that is to complicated go back to 8 track tapes.
