The concept is awesome. But it still needs a large volume box to be used for rap, for rock small enclosures can be used. The problem with this model in particular is the fact that often times, the speaker has little or no glue between the magnet and the metal basket. UPS often drops and throws boxes, while the speaker frame remains intact, the magnet would tear the cone apart from it. I had ordered 4 of these and 3!! THREE!!! had destroyed cones due to magnet losing adhesion or no adhesion at all. If they can be shipped safely, that's great but then that makes me wonder in the manufacturing, will it break down after awhile? So the best position for these subs is up firing, so the magnet is pressed against the basket by gravity. But you can always add silicone to the magnet as well, like I did when I got my replacements, tested them to ensure working condition then added the silicone to reinforce the magnet to basket adhesion, built the box in the back of a SUV with the speakers firing up with a stealth install, replaced the grills as well, as they seemed too flimsy to handle the weight of the dogs sitting on them. Works great now but you have to make sure to check damages when UPS delivers them, so have a box rdy to drop em in, don't have to screw em in, just connect the wires, slide onto opening and turn radio on and make sure it works.
