The Infinity Kappa 692.91 are easy to install and offer audiophile level performance. Solid bass accurate mids and crystal clear highs. My high top conversion van has 6.75", 4x6", 6x9" in front doors, mid side, rear side all Infinity speakers and the sound is so sweet! Every seat is the best seat (all seven)Because imaginging is so spacious that you can't tell where the music is coming from. 780 watts drive my speakers, with 720 watts of hard hitting 12" pioneer sub unleashing a bountiful supply of bass that shakes everything including the rear view mirror (no small thing for a van of this size). DVD/VCR and cell phone comes through my Clarion based head unit Clarion 7 channel Equalizer and pure Infinity Quality speakers. I'm jammin' too hard everywhere I go. You know it's the speakers that make it all sound so awesome. Traffic is surprised to hear amazing sounding music coming from a family van. I'm 44 and my four kids appreciate my good taste.
I bought theses things and man I don't Regret it, They Are Awesome!! Audiophile Quality Material Definitely Recommended to any one who owns a 03-06 Camry!!
The Infinity Kappa 692.9i sound great in my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500, they dont fit stock in the doors but with a few spacers in the screws they work fine. I have a 1000 wat. amp on the way for them but without it in they sound great so i am on my toes to see how they will sound with it in.
I bought these with hopes of a little more full sound but was a bit disapointed. They do have beautiful highs and good mids but they were lacking as far as bass. "I've heard way more bass in some factory 6x9's" So I thought I would power them, got a 60 watts x4 RMS amp "gotta be better than cheap cd player output" well the bass did pick up a bit not great but they did get better. But the mids and highs OMG!!! soooooo loud!! I dunno what they would sound like when pushed harder like 120watt rms baybe better bass then. These would compliment any sub GREAT!!
Update. After rewiring the speakers/amp into parallel to get them into 2 Ohms these speakers sound AMAZING!!!!!!!!! Ten times the bass!! shaking all mirrors :) and that's just the rear speakers the fronts are not hooked up! So all in all they are power hungry but if powered and running parallel you won't be disappointed.
These speakers scream and are very clear but you have to hook them up to an amp. I've had bad experience with other brands but for infinity I have all infinity products in my car and everything is in sink with one another.
I have these in three of my cars, and the sound quality is amazing; crisp highs, clear mids and smooth bass. If you're into "sound quality," you'll love the Kappa series.
