  • Hey Chad thats what happens when you dont match your amp to speakers " had it hooked up to a JL 250w amp and it friend the voice coil" this sub is only rated at 200W rms.

  • This sub is a huge improvement over my rocksford p1. I have this sub hooked up to a 600 watt audiobahn mono block amp and the box that this sub is placed in is the q-logic hidden center console for a 2002 yukon. (look it up on q logic's website). This sub plays loud and lower than most 8's. In fact this is the best 8 I have heard other than the 8W7. Buy now! Chris must have received a bad sub because this thing hits hard.

  • I have 2 of these in a custom made ported box in the back of my trailblazer hooked up to a 1000 watt 4 channel amp. They hit hard! People think I have 12's.

  • well first off it's a 8 not 10 or 12 but very bad ass for it's size and price you had it in a wrong size box or was way under powered i had 2 in a custom built box that i made and they hit so hard wow! is all i can say only herad one other 8 that sounded this good orion ext series but i made a box sealed and also enclosed it and added a port almost like a house sub would be so many way's to get good sound out of a 8 but the jbl's i had ran by a alpine mrp 500 bridged very good indeed best guess is you had them way under powerd
