very good sub. the weight is very light for the size and the sound is realy good. very happy with the quality and would reccomend it for anyone.
I had 2 of the older versions of these and thou they were my first subwoofers I still think they were good for how much I paid for them. I'll be honest now that I know what's out there they're are average subwoofers. They give out average sound quality and spl but you can get some bang out of them if you have a good enclosure.
I had the previous models as well and while they don't hit as hard as some other brands, they do a decent job in the right enclosure. I put them in a sealed enclosure with about .70 cubic feet each and they were loud as hell. With the trunk open, they sounded like.... well, shit. but with the trunk closed and fully dynamatted, it sounded great, rattling windows of stores and stuff. So I recommend for cars with closed trunks, not SUVs or hatchbacks.
Buy these subs they are the new version of the spiral cone p5 subs which I have. Mine are in 3.5 cubes ported at 35hrtz on a Jl audio g1700. Actually bought Jl audio w1 12's as well but the old Sony subs kick a** on them. The Sony subs hit way harder and sound just as good for way less money. Anyone who says Sony don't make good subs is a retard. Onlinecarstereo has best prices on them as well. See for yourself on YouTube (Sony 12" subs roof flex) will post more vids of them in action soon.
