nice unit for the money. with change of speakers in my mustang sound greatly improved. very happy with both units and help from onlinecarstereo.
For the money you cannot find a better unit (at least I couldn't!). I was looking for a unit that had USB and played mp3s. This one does that and much more! It plays wma and aac files as well as mp3s so you will probably never have to convert your music from one file type to another. The search feature is AWESOME. You can find the music you're looking for in a snap. You rotate the dial (instead of pressing a button) to navigate through artists/albums/songs. The zappin' feature is cool, though I don't use it much. USB loads literally 5 seconds after I turn on my car. The screen is bright and easily visible. This unit has so many different options, I was very impressed. The red lights on this thing match the interior of my '00 grand am perfectly. Installation was a snap, about 90 mins from start to finish (mainly because removing my factory stereo took some time). I wish there was a way to see the clock on this unit without turning it off. Now I usually have to whip out my cell phone to check the time (which can be dangerous). Also, the USB cannot read anything over 5GB. I tried several different USB drives. The drive must be formatted with FAT32. Currently I have an 8GB drive in my unit but like I said I can only put 5GB of music on it because this unit will only recognize the first 5GB of music it reads. Not really a huge deal, but it would be a little nicer if I could load up all 20GB of my music collection onto one device. Aside from the two minor issues I have mentioned, this stereo is awesome. The sound quality blew me away, even on my 10 year old speakers. The EQ is great. Bass is thumpin, and highs are crystal clear. Mids are surprising good too! I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a high quality yet affordable unit with USB. Good job Sony!
