I had bought this for my system I have a Crunch 1500 watt mono amp pushing two 12" Hifonics Brutus series subs 600 watt rms 1200 peak. At first this cap worked awesome. After about two months my dash light started dimming again. Then about 8 months later I started having starting problems with my car! I checked the cap and It was not lit up and it was draining the battery and making the car hard to start. I probably installed it wrong but the instructions said to hook it up directly to the battery with a 100 amp fuse. Witch I did! I have heard to hook up a cap properly you need to hook it up directly to the alternator. I don't know what the problem was. If it was a defective product or My in-experience with caps! Just a word of warning I got lucky and did not damage my charging system or my amp. Have your cap professionally installed so you will have some one to yell at I you have a problem like I had, all I can do is look into the mirror.
