Was VERY impressed with these cheap subwoofers. This is the first time that I've ever purchased a "cheaply priced" subwoofer. Mostly because I was scared it would be crap. I bought these because I wanted something cheap to put in my old accord. I only use it for my long commute to work monday-friday and the car is a old high mileage car so I didnt want to waste any money on a system and bought these, along with a 40 dollar ported box from this site, a cheap soundstorm EV1500M amp (600watts RMS) and a 90 dollar pioneer CD player. I honestly wasnt expecting much but was VERY surprised at how loud and clear they were. AMP gain is turned slightly less than half way. These things put out very loud bass. I have factory speakers in the car and the bass was over powering the mids and highs. The box is in the trunk...once I closed the back seats up the bass is more tolerable with the factory speakers but still VERY loud. The speakers are wired for a 2 ohm load on the amp. All in all very satisfied with these extreme budget build speakers.
