I had bought 4 of these a couple months ago, hooked them up to a 3000 watt sound storm amp, running at 1 ohm. and it hits HARD this is a very good sub woofer. it put my buddies 6 pioneer 3500 hundred watt champion subs to shame. i would recommend this product to any one who wants there spinal to crack. i have won sound competitions against kicker, rockford fosgate, jl and mtx audio. i am dedicated to soundstorm..!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can't beat these subs for sheer power handling capabilities! plus they sound excellent and are very durable! I have two of these hooked up at one ohm to a fosgate t1500 1bd and they POUND!!! SSL all the way!
Absolute perfection. These things can take power like no other. Even cranking max wattage through them they are completely stable. The sound quality is just disgustingly good. It's cleaner than clean and it can get 'too' loud. Two of these powered by a 2000w Lanzar in a dual pro-ported Groundshaker (subs and box from OCS! You guys are wicked! The quality of customer service is amazing). You will LOVE these subs. They outperform most of the Kicker's, Rockfords, JL's, and MTX's I've heard. The only thing I find that comes close are the top of the line Kicker's and JBL.
These subs are some hard hitters. Man I got two of them hooked up on a Lanzar 3000w amp and they beat the trunk up in my '95 Buick LaSabre. I recommend them to anyone for deep, hard and clear bass.
got a 5000 watt soundstorm amp and blew one in the first day so dont get any bigger amp than 3000 but they pound like a mother
got two in a prefab ported box on a 2600 watt nitro blew me away that the whole system was under 500 not done but they hit like cvrs or type rs and the bass is real crisp. well worth the money, p.s. people who dont know think they are cvrs ive had type rs l7s cvrs l5's crunch ground pounders punch he 15,s comps ive had alot of setups i try diffrent things i would buy these again well worth it
Hello i had purchased these baby's last week 2 -12's ,today i put them through the test with a bass cd. I am running a Gravity amp 7500 series basically 200 watts each channel when i wired my subs to a 2 ohm load i am gettin about 800 watts in a ported 1 in a half cubic feet per chamber with equals a 3 cubic feet box thats what the specs suggests look on soundstorm for specs. I only had my volume to 10 my whole garage was shaking and house and my dogs go scared so i stopped at 10.But i am tellin you i had 2 15s MB Quarts in a sealed box i put 12s in for more space in my tacoma xtra cab and these 12's are pretty close to the 15s i mean for the price . I was gonna get 3 jl audio 15s but at $160 dollars but im goin with soundstorm 15s instead for 60 dollars each i wish soundstorm made 18's. I am impressed as well as very content these subs have been gettin good ratings. And the delivery process took about 3 days free shipping.Online car stereo you rock good company i checked the internet ratings for carstereo equipment and u ranked #1 amen.
I have had a lot of speakers before, but when i tell yall i got 3 12's in a 2012 honda accord with a power accoustic bass maximizer and an alpine mono block amp only pushing about 175-200 watts a piece. it hit so hard that the ground was vibrating around the car and i felt my legs shaking as well. For the price you can't beat it. I highly recommend these speakers, don't go out and spend 3 or 4 hundred dollars on a sub that your not going to be impressed with, your just buying a name, that's all. Let them laugh at SoundStorms name, but they want laugh when they can't out bump you.
I ordered 2 of these a couple years ago along with the Soundstorm EV2.2600. I did my homework before I bought and get the most perfect set up I could. With the dvc wired to a 2 ohm load, I sent 1300 watts to the 1250rms rating that these hold. OH. MY. GOD. I put them in my 03 sebring sedan and it was worth showing off. The air pressure created in the cab without a ported box was enough to make you crack a window. I sold that car and got an 04 Mountaineer. When you can't see the street signs beacuse you can't focus you know the product is good. I ended up selling it but I just reordered the system to put in my 98 cavalier. When you can buy a dual 12" 2600 watt system with a box for less than $300, why wouldn't you try it? I couldn't have asked for a better built system.
I have two of these in my 2013 Toyota Camry hooked up to a 3000 watt amp with a 20 farad capacitor both boss and they hit hard and have clear long deep draws. I have had them for a year now and they still sound great. I don't push them as hard as I could. I've taken them up close to max a couple times and they just love the juice.
Good sound and good quality. Cant beat the price overall.
