I put one of these in my son's car and bridged a single 4-ohm 10" Kicker Comp, figuring I wouldn't spend much money and he wouldn't wake the neighbors or draw too much attention to himself. Well....this amp surprised me. It offers plenty of power in a small package, more than enough for normal listening. The amp doesn't put out 1200 watts like the labeling says, but it certainly fits the bill for a modest system and neatly tucks out of the way in a trunk space. The low pass crossover works well and I haven't run into any overheating problems, the only thing I really wish it had was a subsonic filter but for the price, I really can't complain. My son likes it, and that's what matters. If you go by brand names, you may have overlooked Boss Audio in the past - if you simply want a good product that won't break your budget, this is it.
This boss amplifier is really small. It can fit in places that a lot of amplifiers cannot, and it is fairly easy to mount inside of a vehicle. I have this amp powering a single 10 inch kicker comp in a ported box and it is up to the task. so far the amp is doing just fine in the Arizona heat. Is more than up to the task for my modest install, if you are looking to put bass in your car and not annoy your neighbors, then this is the amplifier for you. It does perfect with a 4 ohm load. The only thing that is really missing is a subsonic filter but I don't think that that would come in this price range anyway so I am not complaining. This is the perfect amp for my application. I would buy boss audio again.
