the alpine type-r speakers are good for mids and lows but if you want to hear your music clearly at high volumes i would recommend you buy a pair of tweeters with these cause there lacking in the high's

I put 4 of these in my 2011 ram 3500 and....WOW! Sounded like i added subs. They are running off a pdx-4.100 alpine. The highs are very clear. My car has the type-s and there is a huge differance! I personally Loveum!! Fitting my old Land cruiser with all type-r now!!
