This is a good unit and onlinecarstero got it to me fast with no issues. They have my biz for all my music needs.
purchased new 10/01/2014 installed by car alarm company. This product has all the bells and whistles. backup Camera was extra. And in order for my Dodge Ram steering wheel push buttons to work I had to get the extra adapter $120, The unit locked up (freezes) a few times within the 3 weeks before I exchanged it for a duplicate one. They both are a little noisy when it is opening and closing and the tilt got stuck a few times. That let me know that it would get worst months down the road. Radio sound is great, however, tuning up and down was problematic. It would pass by the next station and go where it wanted to go. Touch screen is too sensitive. Your pre-sets get changed all the time because of this. DVD worked fine and very clear movie watching, even while driving it plays up front. However, CD music does not allow you to fast forward while listening to the same song, it skips to the next song. Same with reverse. EQ and balance is very good. Piss poor positions with the CD as it relates to ejecting function. Its so tight, you have to grab the CD top and bottom leaving thumb prints on your CD \ DVD. The Aux 3.5mm is separate from the unit and mounted along your dashboard, as well as the USB flash drive ; however they both work fine and mounted look is ok also. Why does the clock only show during GPS mode ? ( The GPS uses the main USB). On both units, GPS is slow to load, and always locked up. Not many options with the GPS and it never showed me turn - by - turn. Only a few street names show up on the screen, even at full close-up enlargement. My phone GPS shows all street names all the time. After 5 times of reaching my destination without the help of this Valor DDN-888w, I also returned the second unit to the technician. I'll have to spend more and hope I don't get less.
