- This deck is AWESOME!!! Not only was it easy to install, but the picture and sound quality are fanastic, and the overall amount of features is has is unbeatable for the price. I hooked up some 6 1/2" Infinity Kappa coaxials that are 2 ohm to the head unit just to see how they sounded while I installed my JL Audio 4 channel amp, and they absolutely scream. The deck pushes them so well that if I didn't already own my 4 channel amp, I wouldn't go out and buy one to push my 4 door speakers, I would just let the head unit power them because it sounded that good. The bluetooth call quality is excellent as well, and I've been told by my callers that they can't tell whether I'm calling from my truck using the bluetooth or at home calling the regular way. All in all I give the avh-x5500bhs a 9.5 out of 10 and the only reason for the .5 point deduction is because you can't remove the face, and I worry about it being stolen everytime I stay over at a girls house that lives in an apartment complex
Hands down. This was the best radio I bought period. The features and setup is nice. When I got it installed I had to hook this thing up to an 4 channel amp pushing Pionner a pair of Pioneer 3.5 and two pair of 4 way Pioneer 6x9's. And promise you the unit screams. This Head Unit is the best. Thank you OCS. For the best customer service.

This AVH5600BHS is great. The sound it produces is better than I thought it would. I've been using the stock speakers in a new Honda civic, but recently purchased from OCS 4 Infinity 6 1/2 to replace the stock speakers. I can't wait to hear them. As far as the unit goes so far I love it. Only hassle is when you get any direct sun light on the screen, forget it. You can't see anything on it. But in Arizona that rarely happens. lmao I also with that the screen tilted down or side to side a little instead of up only. It really is rather simple to install and looks great.
This deck has been amazing. Great picture, nice colours, great setup, and easy to use. I have it set up with full new speakers and a 12" woofer and sound is superb. Love this unit and highly recommend.
I love it. The visual enhancements are a lovely compliment to my system.
Great radio. Great sound. GUI a little confusing. Did not come with a mounting tray. I replaced an older 2 DIN radio otherwise I would have returned it. Probably not the radio you would want in a custom installation.
This Pioneer head unit is definitely one of the best I've had and I've had a few, with each one lasting a few years well. My only issue is some DVDs , like rewritable 2's are very glitchy won't play, but I guess that goes for most car DVD players. Overall, a solid piece.
Probably the best bang for you buck as far as Pioneer double-dins go. Of course everyone would love to have every single bell and whistle on their deck, but for the price, and with it having pretty much everything but navigation, you cant go wrong. HIGHLY recommened!
I really enjoy listening to my music now. The sound jumps out at you., I did add an alpine 300.4 amp to my system as well, so I can't totally give all of the credit to the head unit, but it has made the most difference.
I love this touch screen in my car. The functionality, ease of use, sound and touch abilities are amazing. The one thing I do wish it had was to search music from USB by typing a name or quick scroll to that letter in the alphabet. Other than that. It is amazing.
Pretty good product; plenty of features. My only beef is with Pioneer for charging 100$ for the cable that allows you to play videos via Ipod.
This indeed is an excellent head unit. Honestly only downfall I could find is the default safety feature regarding the video playback (only enabled with vehicle e-brake engaged). Bluetooth feature works smoothly, automatically connects everytime you enter your vehicle. Mic could use a bit of an upgrade have to speak with elevated voice to be understandable. RMS level is excellent especially for a double din unit, will make even your factory highs sound excellent as well as plenty of power supplied for amp(s) and subs. If you utilize Pandora quite a bit then this unit is definately for you. You can control your phone flawlessly through the Pandora app already installed in the head unit. All in all it's a great product I would buy and recommend this unit to anyone.
For the price, it's very reasonal. As far as the product, it's great. I have a setup with my 2 10" JL audio W7. I am very happy how loud and clear the deck is giving out.
Replaced my factory head unit and am very happy with it. The controls are well placed and easy to navigate. The blue tooth works great for phone calls or listening to my music without having a cable attached. Works great with my i phone. I also really like the customizable screens.
I had a few different doubledins to choose from, but I found this one the nicest picture, nicest setup and easiest to use while still offering me everything I want out of a car stereo. Little things I wish it could do such as search songs by typing the name in or alphabetically type a letter and they would come up, I have to manually scroll to the song/letters in the USB storage, also doesn't show the full song tittle if longer than 18 letters or something. But the product I love, it completes my car. =)
