I currently have a sundown zv3 18 in a 15cuft box tuned low 30-33hz, and wow this amp can power it! Although the amp can get warm at times, I think thats more of my electrical problem than the amplifier its self. I highly reccomend ordering this amplifer, or anything similiar from OnlineCarStereo because their speed of service is great. I ordered this amplifier on a monday morning and it arrived on my doorstep thursday afternoon. Very impressed by OnlineCarStereo and will for sure order from them in the future, Thanks
This amp replaced an MTX Thunder Elite 1500. Let me say first that this amp ran over , backed up, and spit on the MTX. I'm a long time MTX fan and wouldn't have believed it but........the Hifonics amp is cleaner and tighter at high power levels and is able to achive its full potential at 1ohm. I have 2 BA G3 12" subs in my car, and I think this is the first time I realized it wasn't the subs it was the amp! The amp has a clean rectangular look with no weird protrusions, which makes it easy to mount. Easy wire hook up with all allen set screws (allen wrenches included along with mounting screws) This model can be set to be used with another of its own to double the output (strapping). The controls are easy to get to and are on the same side as the inputs. This amp does have a phase control setting of 0-180. The power supply and outputs are not near the inputs which helps in noise reduction. The only difference I can see between the MTX and The Hifonics, other than the much better output of the Hifonics, is the cool light show produced by the MTX. I can't see the amps where they are so what good is it ? I could have bought 2 Hifonics amps for the price of the 1 MTX ! If you want an amp that can do what it's supposed to do then I'd say go with Hifonics. Don't let the price fool you, you will get what you pay for .
A very powerful amp this amp is pushing two T 5 jl 13 inch sub on A 1 cubic foot box inside a crew ab tundra and it's really thumping I would recommend this sub to anyone
This is a amazing amp I've got it hooked up to 2 sundown 15s and has never overheated and has plenty of power truly a great amp Im hitting around 145db thinking of buying 2 more 15s and getting another one of these bad boys!
Good solid amp for the price and true to wattage as stated.
Great Amp for the money. I was not sure at first with the price as low as it is. This amp is able to power what you can throw at it. I've not had an amp that could push my subs to their potential without major distortion for a long time now. This amps sound reproduction is that of the old MTX Thunder "chrome" amps from the 90's and it can slam just as good. Very good damping and it's not afraid of playing low frequencies either......good reproduction all the way down to 30 Hz. This amp is capable of drawing over 140 amps and may not work properly in poorly designed systems........'ll need an additional battery at the amp and possibly a higher amp alternator or it'll just sound like crap and you may damage the amp power supply. Want an amp that can pound like a $1500.00 dollar unit, then give this one a try first ! This is not a high clarity amp but rather a power pusher....keep that in mind !
I bought one almost a year ago but it messed up on me so I had to resend it to get fixed but I wanted a new one so I wouldn't have to go with all the trouble again with it and onlinecarstereo actually replaced it with a new one instead of just fixing it and sent it back to me. Thanks onlinecarstereo. Happy customer and I will buy again from onlinecarstereo.
Ive got two of these strapped, going to 3 alpine 12" type r's . Love em so far. No issues whatsoever.
I have the BRX2400.1D running 2 15" REAudio SXXv2's in a custom 4th Order blow through. Sounds really good. Better than the ZRX3000.1 I previously had. I have a DC Power 270 alt and 2 Big batts to keep the voltage up. I would recommend for the money if you can keep the voltage above 14.
Great amp just getts a little hot
This is a good quality sounding amp that will produce the power it claims. I'm pushing 3 alpine type R's with mine and produces enough bass to make my windshield wipers move in my 03 Durango. If you want quality bass at an affordable price then I recommend this amp
Dam good amp 2 18" subs DD hit hard
For some reason some people talk down on this amp but I think its because they don't have enough power to keep it above 14.4 volts. I bought this amp on a Black Friday deal. I have it wired to 1 ohm on a Massive Audio Hippo 122 with the big 3 XS Power package and 2 XS Power Huge Batteries with 0 Gauge XS Power Cable and a 270 AMP ALT. My current never drops even on the heaviest notes under 14.5 mostly stays at 14.7. Great amp for my custom console setup and pushes exactly what it says. I had it dyno tuned by a professional it puts out 2505 RMS and that's insane and yes its clean power no distortion. By this amp you will not be sorry just make sure u have enough power and its tuned correctly.
Im running two brx2400.1d on 8 12 inch Hds3 soundqubeds Thay are duel 2 ohm wired down to .5 so thes amps can handle.5ohm Running at 11.7 did a 150.43 ant 28 hz hahahaha shyts are bomb as fucc
