  • I added this to my car system and it made the single biggest improvement EVER! It's not insane; thump, thump thump (with windows blowing out and bumpers falling off)...more like what a mature person who like real music would like. And, that is....loud, tight and accurate low bass notes! The Infinity exceeded my highest hopes (and I was pretty high when I put them in) AND was the perfect addition to my kappa system already in place (6X9's in rear deck and 3 1/2 in dash). And, best of all; I don't think I'll ever need more power than my Kenwood excelon 6-series receiver puts out (23.5 watts rms per channel). For the money, it's size and musical prowness.. will NOT find a better (or more convenient) subwoofer...period! (sorry, that was an explanation point....)

  • I bought one of these to put in the back of my extended cab of my truck, the sub is pretty loud, but not as loud as i had hopes it would be. And if you are looking to play music with deep notes, it will quad real bad, but as far as the quality of the bass, it is very impresive, overall pretty good buy

  • Not a bad speaker, amp, whatever. The sound quality is divine. But the power is lacking a little. If you never experienced a class D amp this package gives the best example possible. You don't want this in big cars. However, probably the best plug and play system out except for the modernized square version.

  • This is a great sub for the adult who's looking for a tight sub to save cargo space. I did not want to dedicate the entire trunk of my 97 Jetta to a huge sub box and amp. This sub was the perfect fit, I still have the ability to lay my rear seats down and pass through to the trunk without moving the sub. This sub gives great bass, and is the perfect way to round out a mediocre sound system. It actually does pound pretty well, but if your looking for mega bass this isn't for you ... but if your a regular commuter who just wants good sound this is it. Gives more than enough bass for a normal audiophile. Also has remote gain control, mounting hardware to mount it upright or laying down, and a automatic-on function so you do not have to wire a remote wire from your deck. I had this installed in my trunk in about 30 minutes. Best Buy wanted $299 for this sub (almost $350 w/ tax!), I got it shipped 3 day UPS for $215 from onlinecarstero ... thanks guys!

  • Amazing sound performance, low reliability. After a year or so it will quit working for no real reason. Cheap enough that I bought another one.

  • I could not say anything good about basslink. first the subs came it was broken, then it took onlinecarstereo 6 weeks to replace. Ok, it sounded great. All my co-workers had a blast hearing my car audio system. That is, for 6 weeks only. My basslink is now producing a thump everytime I change the source or turn off the HU. If you search for other reviews, this is a symptom that leads to the death of the speaker. It still works but cant up the volume as before because the subs will hum loudly. I will say again, I dont know why infinity did not develop this product. Basslink has been around for a long time but durability has never been addressed. The concept is great - compact sub woofers. great sound that takes up the least space in your car. Final word - DO NOT BUY IT!!! save up your money for a traditional sub set-up. They may cost 10 times what basslink cost but they will last 100 TIMES MORE!!! DO NOT BUY IT!!!!!!

  • Added this to a four speaker setup in a small van. It put the finishing touch to the sound! Amazing piece of equipment. The system works great all aorund, and the bottom end is just right now. I don't think I could be any happier. A great deal for the price.

  • Just bought my third one in 4 years. They last about 12 to 18 months before the circuit board fries. It is easy to add and replace. If I could find a guy to fix the fried boards I could have all three in my truck!

  • I have had this BassLink for over six years, I first bought it for an Isuzu Amigo and set it up with the stock Clarion Head Unit, and four 6.5 JBL Components. My truck rocked, again you get tight bass, nice and hard and you can fine tune until you get tired. The remote is awesome as you can set the bass all the way up and then control it. No complains just great things to say about Infinity. If this is wired correctly it will work forever. I have since then moved it over to a Mitsubishi Mirage Coupe, since I had it why buy another box that takes my trunk space, by no means this hits as hard as my two twelves on my Accord, but I like the bass with the JBLs and JVC head unit. No complains. The deal is, if you can afford a lil more money buy the new square Basslink II, Ebay has tons of them way cheaper than here. You get an extra 50 watts RMS and trust me, Infinity products have always been under rated in wattage. I prefer Infinity over JBL any day.

  • I think the bad reviews on this are from those who don't know what they're doing or read the manual. If you can't have this sub screaming, or it thumps the bad way, your gain and/or boost is obviously set too high or there's a bad electrical connection. This sub totally rocks my BMW where the Harman Kardon sub lacked any power. The sound is very airy, natural, clean and even, whether loud or low. It probably won't appeal to mostly rap listeners, because it puts out GOOD bass instead of the annoying muddy rumble they typically go for. Make sure you play around with the position, orientation, and crossover control, as it takes a little time to get ANY sub sounding just right for personal taste.

  • I BOUGHT THIS FOR THE COMPACT SIZE. I INSTALLED IT IN A JEEP WRANGLER. I HAVE TO TURN THE GAIN DOWN, IT OVERPOWERS THE STOCK SPEAKERS. I'VE HAD IT A YEAR WITH NO PROBLEMS. I WOULD BUY ANOTHER ONE IF THIS ONE EVER GIVES PROBLEMS. POWERED BY JVC
