First the negative: These are picky, but here goes... The buttons are stiff, to the point of clicking when pushing them, might be just me, but it feels kinda cheap. The button to open the face is tough to push. You really have to press hard to get the face to disengage, sometimes even pushing on one side of the button harder than the other until it clicks. There is no dimmer control for this unit and it is VERY bright at night. Now the positive: This unit sounds great! There is an included wireless remote control that, for the most part, negates the need to mess with the tough buttons. Lots of features like cd text with folder and artist naming for mp3 recordings. Now for the part that might be bad, or it might just be my bad luck. This unit has been extremely sensitive to road bumps since I got it. About 2 months after the install, it stopped playing mp3 discs altogether, and skipped worse with regular cds. Blaupunkt was very nice about it, and had it fixed in less than a week (including shipping!). They say is was badly out of alignment. I haven't re-installed the unit yet, so I don't know how much better it will be now. Blaupunkt has a good reputation, so I'm confident it will play alright now that it's been serviced (knock on wood).
Sound is OK, does not play new WMA-s. Product started developing problems from very beginning. Sometimes it does not release the disc, or releases disc half-way, takes it back and so on. Then mp3-reading quality started degrading to the point that it cannot read (after 2 years of use) most of my mp3-s which were OK before. And sometimes it does not even take CDs at all. I have to pull off the car's battery (+) in the order to reset it.
