Speakers are very flimsey and can only take 75 watts rms...but they sing...crisp highs and nice mids. Great for the money.
A great deal for a small price...
Just bought and installed these speakers. They have strong crisp sound and a good high/mid range. They have no low-end base, but they have good "punch" where you can feel the percussion when it hits. For low-end base get some bigger speakers for your rear set-up. These are designed for quality detailed sound, and lemme tell ya... these babies perform. for the size, you can't expect to have heavy base, so don't hold that against them. If you want clear quality sound, without distortion, these are the way to go.
I have a set of 5 1/4 and a set of 6 1/2 and you are able to hear them over 2 of my Tpye R 15's. These speakers are the way to go for great sound at a minimal price! ////Alpine for life!
These speakers are really cool looking and Fit with the grill, PERFECT into kick panels. It looks awesome. They sound really good, I have them wired to an amp giving them about 50w RMS each and theyre really loud and I havnt heard them distort at all. It only distorts if you turn the bass up too much, but any speaker this small will. Alpine makes good stuff.
