Product Reviews For Pioneer GM-D510M

  • Thisd is by far one of the best subs for the money!!! sure it doesn't have the best sound quality but if you aren't in to the SPL then who cars, this sub has enough power to take care of a Daimon TDX 12, which is what i'm running it to and this thing HITS!!

  • Im impressed with the sound quality of this amp. The GM-D510M pounds two Sony P5 12" subs like a bandit. Only paid $143 bucks plus shipping. Not very flashy on looks but can't beat this amp for the price. A must buy if your on a budget.

  • I shopped around for a few weeks before deciding to buy this amp. Some of the dealers wanted to sell me much more expensive "hi-fi" brands like JL audio and Rockford Fosgate, they kept saying that Pioneer does not make good equipment(especially amps ) anymore. Personally, I have been using Pioneer products for over 20 years, probably longer than some of these sales-kids have been around, and I have never ever had a problem with their sound quality or their reliability. After comparing this amp to most of the other brand names, I chose this because: 1-price per 2ohm watt was the best, 600 watts @2ohms. 2-This is a digital amp that is significantly more efficient than a class a/b amp, thereby not necessitating a rework of my car's electrical system.3- It's sound was very good as far as my ears could tell. In side by side comparison to rockford and JL and Alpine, I was unable to tell the difference. 4- This is a very compact amp that can fit easily under a seat or at the side of a trunk and it is very cool running at normal(I would like my hearing in 20 years)levels. The only reason I gave it an 8/10 for features is; I wish it had a remote sub level control. Great buy at twice the price!

  • compared this amp to a rockford p6001bd head to head at a local retailer. The rockford was a little louder but the sound was almost identical note for note. The big difference was the price, the RF was 699.00 (cdn) and the pioneer was 350.00. I love rockford, but it was not twice as good. I'll take the pioneer thank you, and buy two more 10" subs.

  • great amp! great price! 500watts @2ohms and less than 200.00 for a brand name like pioneer. How can you go wrong.

  • got this amp today; power to my jbl 15s is awesome. I can not believe a little amp like this is so powerful. This thing is tiny, but it hits hard. i believe the specs now. next on the list is a strong cap and maybe alternator upgrade. Easily the best sub amp for the money and I have tried many.Only gripe.. remote sub control.

  • This thing hits and delivers the power. I am using it to power my JL Audio 10 inch W6, need we say more. Ony grioe is maybe the damping factors could be a little stronger on higher volume leves but other than that it delivers great sound and quality

  • I was really let down by this amp. For $200 I didn't expect the world but I thought it would get somewhere in the ballpark of a low-end Fosgate. I was wrong. It doesn't even get close. I wanted to do an all Pioneer/Premier system for nostalgia sake. Blew some cash and now have to start all over again. While I will continue using Pioneer heads(the very best bang for the buck-IMHO), my days of Pioneer amps and speakers/subs are OVER!

  • i have this amp hooked up to two xtant A series 10's, it is way louder than a kid i know with six coustic tens, this pioneer amp has blown up my alpine type r, another pioneer i had, and two xtant's and is still alive and well. sound quality is not the best but this amp is well worth the money and can take a beating.

  • Overall this amp is a solid performer. I torture this thing and it has never thermally shut-down. I wish my Rockford was like that. Sound quality gets "ify", but it is still better than most. No bass boost but if you run a Pioneer head like I do then you can dial in a good sound. If you use Pioneer subs...use twice as many as you think you will need. The amp is a punisher(I use the high-end Premier subs and it barely holds on" I'm happy with it for now but don't expect Orion, Alphasonik, PPI or MTX for the price.

  • this is an alright amp for the value. I am running two power acoustik 12" 700 watts rms per sub and it is louder than i thought it would be. It really puts out alot of power for how small it is!

  • I have this amp pushin' two pioneer 12" dvc mounted in a portedbox. First time with this type of hook up, I'm a memphis audio man but my pioneer combo have really impress me, hits real hard and the set up- real cheap.... Get this fellows the girls' love the beaten....

  • This amp hits and hits hard. I have this amp pushing 2 Pioneer TS-W306C's (12 inch) in a 1 cubit foot each sealed box and it is pegging out on a cheap Radio Shack dB meter (only goes up to 120dB). Went to my local sound shop to pick up cable for my company car project and the guy wanted to listen to my truck. I had him try to guess what kind of a system I had, and he thought I had all JL stuff. Boy did he feel like an ass when I told him that the amp, speakers, and materials for the box were less than one of his precious JL speakers!!! :) Definately a must buy if you are wanting to punish your speakers. Most people hear my truck and think that I have ported speakers, and the amp is what is doing the grunt work!

  • I have this amplifier pushin two Rockford HX2 Dvc 15's at two ohms. Suprisily it is pushing them and it sounds good. i am severly underpowering these subs, they nor the amplifier has not blown. It is strong and definitely worth the money
