this amp has the capability to push with no problem what so ever 4 (four) L7 SOLOBARICS 15inch subs to their limits and still had enough power to push 2 more on top of that i know i own the amp and the system 167.4 db on an expedition 2000
I previously had a Rockford Punch 500.2 hooked up to my Solobaric L7 12. It worked really well, but I was looking for more power. That is when I came accross this amp. I found it for a better price locally. However, this is absolutely the best overall amp that I have ever seen or heard. It takes my 12 to it's limit without breaking a sweat.
Same amp as the MX2000 just different name. Ive got 3. Two used 1 new all work the same. Noone cantouch this amp because of it's current draw. Only uses a 80amp maxi fuse runs at 1ohm and stays reasonbley coolall the time, pumping in a trunk temp.only went to 120*. Word of advive, like with any amp DONOT mount on or infront of woofers,so much power it will shake the power supply loose.
One more issue to add. I just went head-to-head with a friend of mine. My L7 12, this amp against his Diamond TDX 12, and his D5 1200.1. His tested with his own meter a very nice 132 using test tones. Mine hit a 139.4 at the dash using bass music. He changed most of his settings, and finally hit 139 at the passenger kick panel. I went back and tested again using actual 51-53hz 10 second bursts, and did 141.4 at the dash. And, 143.8 at the passenger kick panel. We both did our own installs. Don't think that bigger is always better. Sometime, less is more. Not a bad comparison. If you have questions about this e-mail me at, ThaDark@aol
I have had my MX2000 for 3years now running 2l7 12's in a ported box(1.93per.cham.)at a little over 1/2 gain and bass boost Pioneer 9400 bass on -10 and still hit 145.9 in dash in a `97 Yukon. This amp is A Beast 4sure. Current draw is incredible 80amps. If you have one keep it. Nothing else like it!
