Tested side by side to a Diamond M6 12D4 woofer that costs $51 less. Tested with ported box on Zapco Reference 750, 2 x 360w. Sound quality/volume similar. Rockford woofer slower to respond than Diamond on fast base notes. Hits slightly lower than the Diamond M6.
ive got one of these in a box i made designed to hit tha lows and not tha highs we tested it in a sealed box and it hit 104db's in my box i made it hit 139db's its kinda slow to respond on tha fast notes but who cares as long as it hits ive had 3 disturbing tha peace tickets with only one 12 so you know its loud
These subs pound, I have two under the back seat of my silverado, worth the money if you want huge bass. If your looking for a little cleaner sound go with a p2 10 or 12.
I am currently running one of these off of a rockford t3002 amplifier. The sub takes this easily and i play on putting it on a t10001bd as soon as i can. The 600 watt rating is very conservative from what i have seen, and i want to see what this sub can really do. So far though, this sub has impressed me greatly. It has very good SQ at all volume levels while cranking out some serious SPL. To those who said it was slow to respond on fast notes, or the sound wasn't clean, recheck your install. I have compared this to several "SQ" subs such as JL's famous W7, and it has held up in the SQ department nicely. for best reluts, run this in rockford's recommended enclosure. Im using the enclosure and i hit a 140.9 DBs on the new Term-Lab meter. The sub is a little costly though, and there are other offerings for less that come close. If money isn't an issue though, this is deffinately a sub worth looking at.
Right now i dont have a power cap so i can't safly turn the amp up. I have a BD 10001 it at about a 1/4 of the way up and its loud. I use to have a PG Tantrum 500/2 and 2 JL W3 v2 12's and this makes them look like 6x9's. Great subs
It is definately worth the money. This sub pounds. I have it in an old truck, and it rattles the whole cab of the truck, not just a loose pannel. I have impressed many people, even people that have had some nice SQ subs, and they say it sounds amazingly clean even in my truck. I don't recomend putting it behind the seat of a single cab truck like I did, it works, but I'm worried that it will slap the back of my seat if I turn it up.
this sub is great i have two of these running off of a hifonics amp in my 240sx and they are really loud and clear you should put them in a ported box to get the most out of them trust me you wont be dissapointed THESE ARE AWESOME!
Great Sub! I have this in a 2.25 cu.ft ported box in a 2004 blazer extreme and it pounds! It is ran by a RF Punch 150 (anniversary 25 to life) and a 1 farad cap and I pound harder than JL w6's. Will not be dissapointed!
i have 4 of the t1s 12s and it sounds great i have two pg1200 powering them 2 caps and two optima batterys in the back its loud!!!!!!!
I have 2 of these in a ford probe and they hit sooo damn hard. They are being powered by a fosgate t1001bd and before this setup had 2 w7's. I say that these hit way harder then them and I love them.
I recomend this to anyone looking for massive bass. I have one sub that I am currently pushing 300 watts to(half the rated rms) and it blows my mind. Replaced my two Infinity Kappas and was amazed . Blows them away. Highly satisfied. Literaly shakes my hat . Can't wait till my new amp arrives so I can really push it.
One of the best subs out there, only thing better is the t2. I have a quantum qa4000d mono amp running two of these in a ported diamond design box with a cadence 2.5 farad cap and panasonic head unit. Hit harder then anyhting i have hard. hcca orion what. Hit 178.2 on 1000 watts. Awesome subs. recomend these to anyone. great spl.
I got one of these bad boy and its runnig of a rockford 6001bd and it hits harder than my friend infinti kappas and he got two of them.
wow...this sub is amazing ... quite possibly the loudest and quickest sub ive head.... Im running it in a sealed boxe with a Rockford Fosgate P-300.1 amp giving it a clean 445 watt rms......this subs hits so hard and gets so loud it distorts the lcd display in my factory head unit..Heck i even produced mre dbs than my classmate with 2 15s from Memphis....those who say its not fast must have something done wrong because mine responds as fast if not faster than the 6.5s in my door.. Amazingly clean sounding...the lows are nice and full and the sweeps are smooth and steady...at home playing Jazz,Rock, Country, Rap .. name it it will play it..one and see what Rockford Fosgate is all about
I have two of these in a ported box built to rockford specs. These are my 5th pair of subs I've owned and they completely blew me away. These are easily equal to jlw6 sq and spl. They're being pushed by a Hifonics 1600 watt brutus amp wired down to one ohm and are taking all of the power I can throw at them. I'll nver buy anything else but rockford.
This sub is no joke. You need a good amp to push it. I have it connected to a mono block kenwood amp (supposedly 600 watts rms, really 480-500 or so kenwood amps suck!)and it does not do it justice. I also have it in a sealed box, most of the bass sounds extremely accurate and deep but some bass notes sound flat, almost distorted. Once again probably my amp, but make sure you aint powering it with that crappy Jensen you got laying around.
got 2 runnin off a fosgate 1000.1 amp at 1 ohm the amp alone is amazing its rated at 1476 rms at 1 ohm what i like about these is that u can put them in a small sealed box and they sound better than when i had em in a larger ported box. really deep rich bass and very well made. fosgate makes the best amps and sum great subs i got mine for 200 each tho so if u can find a mobile audio shop that sells them you can probably work out a deal. i am good talker tho so good luck. still worth the 249 tho and what i think makes these better than the t2s is that u can put them in a sealed box the t2s specifically tell u to use a ported. once i get my 15in kicker cvx ported box done ill have the sq and spl. i got an 87' lincoln town car btw. huge trunk i got a HO alt. optima yellow and about 12 farads of cap all wired with monster 1/0 gauge and monster 10 g speaker wire. all i need now is to upgrade my 1400.4 crunch amp and switch up my coaxles with components maybe an invest in an eq and possibly another battery i got 2200 watts in the trunk idk if that cap is guna do the trick... anyways buy a couple of these and a nice fosgate amp and you will not be disappointed RF MAKES THE BEST AMPS ON THE MARKET all come with a birth sheet and all are under rated and they dont mess around tellin u what the peak wattage is. its just raw clean power stable down to one ohm i own 2 and have been through many amps and none compare not even jl
I have two of these in a ported box with a fusion 2000 watt amp and these are unelievably loud for two twelves. I also have them in a blazer which makes them sound a little louder then they really are. I Had them in a trunk of a cavelier and it about rattled the trunklike you wouldnt even think of. I think they sound just as good as two w6s. I beat 4 cvx 12s with my two t1s.believe it or not.the cvx were in the trunk of a car. The sound quality of these subs are unbelievable. That is all i got to say these are well worth the money
I have these on a 1000.1 amp which does not push 1400 watts rms my amps ratings are 1201 watts rms at 1 ohm and I'm running two twelve inch t1s and they sound terrible all they do is make noise be wise and spend the money on something better.
The sub is great no doubt about it. I have 1 T1 in a ported bass works box running on a 500.1 rockford amp. The amp is amazing best 500.1 i have ever owned. The sub is amazing but to get them for a good price is hard around here they average 499.00 to 599.00 for one it rediculos mark up. I would have to say they are deffenatly on par with a JL audio W7 if not better I owned many car audio systems spent close to 10,000 and up im sticking with rockford. I would run JL audio again but they are going way down in my book. Buy these subs you wont be made just DEFF with clean responsive BASE. SQ and DB all the way hittin 125.1 with the w7 hitting 129.8 so really 130.0 not bad for one of these bad boys.
one year after buying the sub it rattles a lot . hits hard but rattles. make sure you get an ext wrny. wish i did!!!!
i got one of these for 200 brand new and all i know is that it was totally worth it.. i would totally pay 250 if i had too.. my friend had 3 12"orions in his GTP and he sold them then we tried my T1 and it was louder than all 3 of them... you can never go wrong with any rockford subs P3 on up!! GO TEAM RF!!!
i just bought two of these i havent hooked them up yet but i know im glad i found this page cause at first i wasnt sure of them but now i cant wait to get them hooked up in my 01 grand cherokee
