  • simple.the best ten i've ever heard. i have the 611a infinity mono block amp pushin this beast with 657 watts @ 2 ohms. and it pounds. my friend has an alpine type r with a JL 500. its close...but doesnt pound as hard. my VQ is in a Q-Logic 1.25 cubic ft. ported box. 520$ total spent..cant beat it...cant go wrong with infinity

  • I just got this sub in my car a few days ago. I have the newer version of this same sub. Its great. I have it in a .75 cuft sealed box, that I built myself, cant complain. Very tight and punchy for rock, yet if I put in some rap, it still packs a pretty good boom. I have no complaints. Other than I paid 265 for it w/tax. But I will definately say I would much rather pay 265 for this sub than 265 for a JL10W6. Anyway, great sub. I reccomend it to anyone that wants great Sound Quality.

  • I just put a pair of these in my truck yesterday (4/17/07). I bought these based on the positive reviews I read and so far they seem to be right. The bass is clean and low, especially for a .75 ft3 sealed enclosure. I haven’t tried any of the variable Q inserts yet because when I ran the T/S parameters I liked the numbers I got with no insert or (high Q setting) which are an F3=33 Hz, a tuned frequency (Fc) of 41 Hz, and a Q=.94. I listen to many different types of music from hip hop to rock, from reggae to alternative so I needed a sub that was versatile, musical, occasionally loud, but most of all clean. I think these subs will fill the large shoes left by my Phoenix Gold Ti10d’s. The only negative I’ve noticed so far is that the power handling rating might be a bit overstated (something I know almost everybody does). I have my pair running on a JL 1000/1 with the gain a little past half way and I can drive these to distortion without trying too hard. A while back I tried a pair of JL 10W6v2’s and I couldn’t distort those things without my ears bleeding but the low end in a sealed box was non existent so I didn’t stick with them. Don’t get me wrong these subs hit hard and low, my pair rumble in a sealed box so I can only imagine what they would sound like ported. I’m just saying that when you list a RMS of 400W and a peak of 1600W it should be a little harder to distort them. Overall I’m pleased with these subs and would recommend them to anyone who wants good clean bass with any type of music and can still turn heads if you throw in a bass CD. This is a very nice sub

  • Just thought I'd share this. I put this same sub that I have in a 1.25cuft ported box that I also built and it sounds great. What can I say, I just don't think the pro's are doing great jobs with sub boxes anymore, so I just build my own now. I built the box specifically for this woofer, tuned the box for right around 30-31Hz so it would be really tight. Tuned my deck to have +2dB at 50Hz and it sounds really nice. It's even tighter than some of the sealed boxes I've heard the pro's bust out. Very pleased with this sub once again, just to let you all know, the sub still sound great in a ported box.

  • Very musical for a sub. Can pound to. Wired to 1.66 ohm. Best sub I've owned. And will fit any box type with equal quality of sound. Get one and save a couple hundred bucks you would have spent to get anywhere near the same sub.Very happy with mine.
