  • THIS AMP BANGS!! I have this with 2 12 inch hx2s dvc 4ohm in my mustang and my ears ring from it.. i have the gain 1/4 way up and punch eq half way up and i cant even turn my radio all the way up. def. worth your money, it wont burn out and its compact so you can mount it anywhere. it says its a 500 rms but it really puts out 815 rms!!

  • I must say I am impressed with this one. The buy was a risk that I hope will pay off in the long run. The lack of factory warranty is a scarry thing, but with Rockford, I think it's a risk worth taking at that price. This amplifier replaced my old Rockford Punch 360a2 (180w @ 2 Ohms x 2 Channels), which has been a workhorse for me over the 7+ years I owned it. I had just recently upgraded my old 10" JL W3s to the new Boston Accoustic G-series, which also kick ass for the money might I add. This new T500 is way too much power for the speakers I have, but w/the gain down to like 2, it sounds pretty good. I would recommend this amp to anyone who wants to push a 3 speaker set-up or a set of bad boy 12" monsters. However, I will say that I've never heard 10" speakers sound the way that mine do now, and I've been doing this a while. Great buy @ $329. Birth sheet said 757 watts @ 1 ohm (70Hz). That's over 2.3 watts for every dollar, and after hearing what this thing can do, I beleive everybit of that Birthsheet for sure. If you want longevity, Rockford is the way to go. If you want bang for your buck, buy this thing. Only caution I have is don't over-do the gain and fry it cause you'll be flushing money down the drain. These guys are not licensed Rockford dealers and they can't back the 3 yr warranty you get when you pay $600 at your local dealer, so be careful with your investments. Based on my experiences, you should be fine if you treat it right.
