Product Reviews For Orion HCCA62

  • Believe it or not, but I put these in my 06 Ascender to replace a set of DLS Iridium 6.2. So I would call it an upgrade. With that said, I actually like the sound of these better than my Iridiums. the iridiums had a little more mid bass, but the clarity of this set impresses me. I would have bought these at the $399 price, but for the $160 I paid for them, I am extemely pleased. I have had really good luck with Orion over the years, which prompted me to give them another shot. They are getting 75w RMS from an Alphasonic amp. Again.... I really like the way they sound. Definately a good product

  • These are so awesome that they outperform Boston Acoustics. I love the sound quality of these speakers and these sound awesome with techno, house, hard house, hardstyle, trance and rock music. These are getting 150 watts to each. It pays to read the manual.

  • These components are decent, but I was a bit disappointed in their overall output, especially from the tweeters. Even at a gain of 3db on the tweeters, there still is a substantial lack in the upper frequency range. ...so much so that I chose to re-install my old tweeters in the front pillars and attenuate them down a bit just to ramp up those specific frequencies. Another issue is the ridiculous size of the X-overs. These things are HUGE! If you intend on hiding these, you'd better plan on having enough space to hide a cinder block! The picture provided above does NOT show them anywhere near actual size. In fact, the crossover is significantly larger than the 6" mid! While these are decent if you are getting them at a cheap price, I certainly wouldn't recommend them if you are paying near retail. You'd be much better off spending that cash on something else.

  • Wow these Component speakers Look Awesome they have a high quality build and look shallow mounting depth and great sound quality only thing is i was powering them at 180 watts RMS each and one of the mid speaker failed on me...kinda disappointing since they are rated at 200Watts. but that could be i over powered them..other than that their crossovers are well woth the money.. sound quality is beautiful ..

  • The speakers sound great, both at low volume and high volume. There is no distortion at high volume, and the music sounds just as crisp as it does at regular volume. I highly recommend these speakers to anyone who wants a great speaker at a great price.
