This is a really good cd player for the money. Ive had many types of systems. It doesnt have as many equalizing options as some other players, but it sounds really good. i have it hooked up to an audiophonix 800 watt 2 channel amp for the mids and highs and a 2400 watt 2 channel amp for the bass, and it really bumps, i spend $84 on it, definetly worth the money.
Kenwoods have some of the best head units. Why? They always have MORE POWER than most, making all the difference in the sound. Put component speakers on this, and the sound is nice and crisp. No sub out is the only downside on this model, but the 238 has it. Red button lights, easier on the eyes than blue for night driving.
Very clean head unit if all you want is to upgrade your factory radio. I put this in my commuter car and I am very pleased. In my other vehicle I have all high end equipment and this very inexpensive Kenwood impressed me. It also has adjustable sound quality features that are not found in other head units at the same cost. I would highly recommend this head unit if you are on a budget.
