I bought this unit with the intention of bridging the rear stereo output to a mono sub. When I got it I found out that it's a non-bridgeable amp. This was disapointing since a 50Watt RMS mono isn't going to drive my little subwoofer. Aside from this obvious setback, the unit has an irritating high pitch hum when the car is on. Neither my ground loop isolator nor my power line noise supressor had any effect on the line noise. My problems all ended when I shorted the power connector while switching different components in and out to try and correct the noise. The short blew the fuse, but it jumped the fuse connector and fried the circut board. I have a 4 channel 600w sony xplod in there now and havn't had a single issue with it. No line noise, and plenty of power for my small system.
got it for 50$ new on ebay. its a good amp. no line noise like the other guys stated. i routed rca's on driver side and all power on passenger side to keep power current from audio cables! its very good if you are looking for alittle more noticable kick to the door speaker, i have an 05 Dodge Ram Quad Cab 1-Ton and got all JVC Speakers with the JVC El Kameleon KD-AVX44 headunit. great amp at a good value, noting to complain about. looking to get the Boss CH450 next for my JVC arsenal 10" Sub.
