This is the first amp that I have bought. After I got it, I hooked it up to a single Alpine SWR-1222D Subwoofer wired at 4 ohms. I was very impressed. It matched up perfectly with the power rating of the Alpine Type R. I then purchased an additional Alpine SWR-1222D and hooked it up the other day. It was very loud. However, if I turned my volume up on my Pioneer receiver past 10 (From 0 to 62) it will cut out for a period of time. I checked the wiring and all was well. I don't know if a capacitor will fix the problem. A plus to this amp is the cooling fan. So far it has not gotten really hot on me. If you are looking for an amp that puts out 500 RMS watts at 4 ohms, this amp is great. If you want it for 2 ohms, I would look for a different amp. If the problem of it cutting out is fixed this amp would be an easy five.
i previously owned the kac-7203 2 channel 100 watt amp and i never had problems. so i upgraded to this amp and have it wired to a 4 ohm 2008 kicker l7 15 down to 2 ohms and it works great. It never got warm running for 30 minutes straight at high volume and really makes the sub sound good. i highly recommend this amp
Awesome amp. I have it pushing one jl audio 12w3v2 dual voice coil sub at a load of 4 ohms impendence. Has a near silent cooling fan which is a plus. Really nice sound quality. Power is abundant. Needs a little work on the higher notes but not a big deal. Make sure that you have big enough wire to feed this thirsty bad boy, but if you get too big of wire it prolly wont fit because the terminals arent very big. But im not complaining it sounds pretty awesome in my car! And its practically a steal at this price..!
This amp is awesome! It puts out amazing power. This is the best bang for your buck. This amp puts out double the power of an amp that will cost double the price.
I jus got the amp hooked it up to some small subs and blew them had burnt smell in ma truck lol but got 2 alpine type r 10s and hoping that its ganna beat
With two subs (2 12 alpine type r) will cut off when the bass is turn off. Not good for two subs if you want to beat.
preety nice amp, you just cant beat the quality for the price... I got it pushing two 15 L5's and damn! pushes almost as hard as my old jl/1000 mono block! only thing is theres no bass knob or port for one. Bottom line best amp for the price
I bought this amp form this site and I was really pleased. I had the amp on 2 12" Champion Pro Premiers and it really hit but those subs really demand some power and sometimes the amp couldn't provide them with it but i never had any problems with it. I sold it to my cousin and he has it turned all the way down and it still pushes hard. I would def. recommend this amp.
i just bought it, and hook it up with one 15" audiopipe subwoofer doble coil at 4 ohms and it is banging real hard. Nice amp.
This amp is great for the price,I only had it for under a month and it bumps with the best of them. Two JL10's and its shaking my steering wheel,great buy.
i loved this amp until it messed up. Luckily i had a year warranty and i sent it back JULY 26 and got it back today DECEMBER 8. Its bs i had to wait sooo long andit has scratches and stuff all over it. ill never buy from them again. foreigners
i installed this amp to a powerbass 850 watt sub and it is hitting so hard. wasnt sure if this amp was gonna b able to push it but wow really impressed. great amp for the money.
Good amp for the money, however, if you want quality, spend a little more money. I'm no longer a fan of kenwood now that i own this amp hooked up to two diamond D3's in a custom made $200 ported box. It pushes them, but it makes them distort, which should not happen. I'm going to upgrade to the Diamond D3 1000.1 mono amp. Good for your first system, but not worth wasting time on if you're serious about sound quality.
I bought this amp for $140 off dome other website but i did get my Bang for the Buck with this kenwod amp, i had a crappy Lanzar and it was really under powering my system, i added this amp *9104D* and wow! it made a real difference my subs punch super hard, people can hear me coming through the block and it looks real clean , black on dark illuminun cover, a built in FAN, red "ready" logo led light, a blue illumination led light and it has REAL power.
Well what can I say i got this amp and it havent let me down i first had it with two 15s and it was hiting real hard that i got pulded over to may time so I put two 12s kicker and it kicks so hard that u can feel it all over your body and when I put it at high volume people has even got out off their car to tell me put it down but they crazy cuz I pay for my things not them lmao but is a great amp to start off with
well there's really too much bad to say bout this amp.... I used to have a kicker zx1000.1 pushing my 2008 15" kicker l7 till it blew on me.. I ended up buying this amp off ebay...sound quality i thought was pretty good... I have i set to 1ohm and man do this hit hard

hi,im trying 2 get an amp for 2 12'' kenwoods w3011 they are 400rms at 4 ohms... would this amp put out 250rms 2 each at 4ohms,or 450 at 2 ohms 2 each?????? i dont know if i should get this amp or 2 hifonics titans wich put out 400rms each if u bridge them...looking for advice
this is a bad az amp. to be honest i bought this amp bcuz of readin the otha reviews. i bought it yesterday and took out time 2 calabrate it jus right today. man the pressure this thing puts out is amazin its a rush. i have the amp on 2 dual voice coil mtx 12's thunder 7500 series in a double slot ported box in marquis. i love this amp.
I upgraded my system from a 2 12's sony xplod amp and speakers,to this amp with 2 Kenwood KFC-3011 and wow you can really tell the difference. my car vibrates like you wouldn't believe, the sound is ridiculous, I would recommend this system to anyone.
you can bridge your 3011's with this one amp and power them decently. i have the older model hooked up to two 3011's and they hit 134.2dbs. In a 2002 neon with no dynamat and back seats down. Make sure to upgrade your ground wires under the hood to prevent alternator fryage and other unwanted electrical problems. Also add a 1 farad cap to help with sudden bass hits.
very nice 4 the price i hooked up my 2 12 inch 3011's in a ported box with them running regular at 4 ohms and a 2 fared cap. they sound great in my 03 jeep grand cherokee. i plan on bridging them and running 2 ohm soon.
this amp works really well with a set of kicker 15' inch subs and a really good lightning cap. this product works really well in my cadilliac. Even tho my truck is air tight the sound is unbeiliveablelly loud.

I just got this amp hooked up with 2 12' Kenwood 3011 runnin 2 ohm, this amp hit hard but overhead too much and quick. dont recomment at all.
i have this amp wired down to 1 ohm on a pair of pioneer 306dvc and it hit hard. there is no overheating, no distortion,but u must get an good 2 farad cap because it will need some juice. i recommend this amp.
Very nice amp. Powers my 2 12" 1500w Kenwood subs nice. Just careful and dont crank all the knobs to the fullest then turn your deck up fast it will blow the fuses out the amp. Ver nice Amp
Man I've Been A Kenwood Fan For A While But This Takes The Cake I Have This Amp Hooked Up To 2 10 Inch Candence Beasts Subs Wired To Run At 4 ohms And This Amp Thumps its only kicking out 250 watts a speaker right now and people think I'm pushing 800 watts and thats at 4 ohms Can't wait till i get my h.o. altenator so i can set it up for 1 ohms anyone looking to save money but want a good amp I suggest this one strongly my current set up is 2 20in beast 500watts rms a 3.5 farad boss cap and a valor 702 touch screen in dash dvd
Yeah, pretty much what anyone else will tell youi, this amp is nice! Kenwood has their stuff together. I have this hooked up to 2 Alpine type S's and they vibrate my face from the back of my Landcruiser, pretty solid.
I like the amp but it keeps on turning off on me. I dont know why it keeps turning off on me. I am running one 12 inch premier 1000 watt sub but whenever the bass hits for about 20 seconds the amp turns off thats with my volume at less then 3/4. I dont know whats causing the problem i have a good ground, im only running one amp in my car, i have my gain pretty low???? im gonna have the pros take a look at it....
i had this amp hooked up to two 10's wired to 1 ohm (not sure how i didn't blow them, i sure as hell tried) but this thing beat down but still managed to have amazing sound quality for the money, my friends would get in and have no clue what hit them and always talked about how they felt static moving their hair around
this amp is one of the best im laughing at everyone who says it isn't good..the reason your amp is clipping is because your decks are crappy I've had a pioneer deck and my amp would tweak out abit then I switched to a alpine cda-105 and I've have not one problem everyone who is being a hater or talkin down on this amp needs to research and quit being retarded WE DA BEST
I was sketptical at first, kenwood has there ups and down......but i hooked it up to a 1200 watt kenwood sub @ 4 ohms 500 rms, and the it shook my trucks mirror off! I was VERY IMPRESSED!......but so was the cop :( TIP: to prevent over heating on any amplifier, you need to have ZERO gauge wire, other wise it wont get proper power and it will get hot from over clocking other components to make up for the loss.
I have this amp on 3 12" orion cobalts and it pounds. No one wants to ride with me.... and the orions are the best entry level sub out there
The built in fan is a real plus especially to all of us who have overheated an amp before. The removable top plate design is silly at best. I have this amp running at 1 ohm on 3 MTX thunder 4500 10's sound quality is great! runs cool. The terminals don't really allow for an easy connection to 4 or 0 gauge wiring,but I did it. Adjusting and tuning is hard especially after mounting due to the tiny controls that will only turn up or down with a tiny Flathead screwdriver.
Bought this amp 2years ago and has not let me down since. i run it on the Alpine Typy X (3000 watts peak). Even though this amp only pushes 1800 watts max i dont think i want it any louder and trust me i love bass. Also i have a 2farad cap thats on it with 4 Gauge wire. Only problem i find with this amp is making sure i turn it down b4 i pass a cop bc he would pull me over.
I didn't order from This site I bought mine from BestBuy for $299.99 and I'm running 2 12" Infinity Reference 1252W. When I first bought those subs I was using a 800Watt Mono Amp and I thought I had blown these subs cause I wasn't really getting much out of them but once I bought this new Amp and with it's 1800Watt power which is kinda over kill I have fallen in love with these subs but anyway this Amp has some serious power and if you have a SUV it has a nice little blue light the lights up you trunk area. Overall best Amp I've owned.
This amp is not what they advertise it to be. 900 rms at 2 ohms? LIES!!! this will push about 600 rms max at 2 ohms. don't waste your money on this. You get what you pay for with amps. Instead of buying this kenwood garbage, go get yourself a Hifonics amp that is actually one ohm stable and wont overheat after 10 minutes of play time.

Ok listen to me when I say this. Ive had this amp for over 2years now powering an Alpine Type X 12". The amp pushes real hard untill a certain point then shuts off. Even though it has a built in fan I dont see it that great. I can blast songs to the extreme for about 10seconds then my amp shuts off for about 5seconds. Its a great amp for the buy but I'm someone who wants loud bass. Love the amp but dont get a sub that cant handle its performance.
i have this amp with a 12" L5. sound good but blew the sub. try 12" L7 but cannot handle the amp. try 15" L5 some how it sound great and i can listen very loud for very long time.
this amp is a great buy for the money. got it hooked to 2 kenwood kac 12's wired to 4 ohm with a 2 farad cap n a reg. cab s-10 xtreme. my rearview will not stay on the windshield. flexes my back window and even my doors. this amp is a big improvement from almost any amp. a remote bass control would be nice but still a good buy. this amp is a beast!

I've had a LOT of systems, and I've spent a lot of money on higher end amps. I got this amp out of an outlet store, and honestly this is one of the best deals I've gotten! I'm using this amp to push one 12" L7 sub. It's wired down to 2ohms, and it absolutely quakes. I've ran this set up for two years, and it has never let me down. Great amp for the money.

Great amp for the money the only thing is if I put my input volume up more then half or my head unit sub volume up more then half it goes into safe mode for about 30 seconds after just one minute of play time. I have it down at 2 ohms running two pioneer 2 ohm 3000 watt subs 1000 watt rms. 4 guage jl audio wire. Jl audio rca cables. Jl audio 10 guage speaker wire. This amp has to be the best amp i have ever had out of all my systems!! Right now it is pushing 2 MTX 8812-04 12 inch subs and rocks there world better then any rockford fosgate amp that I have had. It is for sure worth more then the money u have to pay for it for it gives u all the power u will ever need for rock solid sound and bass.
Amp is great, the front cover is kind of annoying. I'm pushing it with two 12" kenwoods and two 10" kicker comps. Sounds amazing! Great amp for the price, can't go wrong with kenwood.
I like this amp alot for the price the only thik i dislike is that the ground and power are rite next to eachother so sometimes they spark because i have 2 12" kenwoods in a little ranger with this amp but overall they sound good and im gettin ready to get 2 alpine type r's
I have owned many amps over the years from RF, MTX, XTANT, Alphasonik, and so on. All were great amps but I will have to say I was most surprised by this Kenwood. First thoughts after first picking up the amp is no way this is a 900 watt amp because it doesn't weigh very much at all compared to other amps I have owned. The RF P3001 (300 Watt) I was replacing weighed twice as much. After installing it with 4 gauge power and ground wire with a 1 farad cap on two Kicker 12" L5's I was totally amazed! This amp puts down some power and that aint no joke! Only down fall Is no remote bass knob but if you get it dialed in you really don't need it. You WILL NOT be disappointed in the power this Kenwood will deliver I promise!
