This HU is incredible, from classical to r&b sound quality greatly enhanced. Only complaint with pioneer is their iPod interface which according to their website they are redesigning anyways and newer products already incorporate it on the touch screens, LOVELY product
Ive had this head unit for about 3yrs now. its great sounding with too many things you can do with it. And thats the best part about it! especially the turn off feature for the internal amp. But be warned: If you try and take the face off other than the wya its suppoed to be, it will not act right. bc the leads in the back will not line up with the base when puttin the faceplate back on. therefore shuttin off and on at will. over bumps. too much bass etc. just be careful with her and she'll treat ya right!!
A real SQ unit here with an amazing sound stage. Very underststed design, Which I like, Hides the vast capability and quality of this head unit. All the gear... Extras like B.tooth HD radio etc work well. I especially like the USB add on. Cheep and I can put days of music on a thumb drive and leave my ipod at home. It compensates for recorded music quality very nicely. Isn't very hard to program and with the self adjustments and 16 band eq, just set it and get out of the car and it does the rest. 6 min later, everything is adjusted and sounds better than anything I have ever owned. Buy this if you really like SQ.
The Pioneer DEH-P800PRS is a genuine high quality, high SQ oriented deck that will be a classic in time to come. If you read the manual from front to back all the controls will be easy to understand. The IPOD controls are pretty quick not like that of the IPOD but extremely easy to use. The equalizer options and sound sets this unit apart from other the other head units out there. The look of the unit is sleak and not too busy. I just recently upgraded from the Alpine CDA 9886 (another good unit) and the difference was very very noticeable in sound. The sound from this unit parallels a high end home stereo system. This unit is designed for people that want SQ systems in their car and are not necessarily looking for the boom boom boom. To compliment this unit I recommend using high quality amplifiers and speakers to experience the full range of sound that it produces. This will be a deck that people will look back at and talk about 5, 10 to 15 years from now.
