Product Reviews For SoundStorm USS8

  • I mounted this with Velcro behind the driver's seat in my 2008 Smart Fortwo. The system includes 4 Infinity 6 1/2's powered by an Alpine 4x75 amp. In this tiny car, it provides excellent, clean low end. Fantastic bang for the buck! This black unit looks better than the Boss Audio chrome "sister" unit in my interior.

  • Installed behind rearseat in 2003 subaru baja. This may not fit under most subaru seats. But I wanted to say this product is great! Less money and even smaller then the similar Blaupunkt Thb200a but yet this hits a lot harder. Very clean lows and the adjustments allow you to set it up perfectly. Soundstorm/Boss Audio have outstanding products for the price. Nothing cheap about this sub. Best low profile sub you can buy. For nice clean bass your speakers cant provide, then this is what you need.

  • Installed in a Chevy Avalanche under the back seat. Sounds really good for a little 8" sub and doesn't use up any space or restrict the seat/midgate at all.

  • I don't know how to rate this. I was excited about what a great deal this was and the ability to slide it under the driver's seat. An 8" sub and amp in a small enclosure for $130?!? After having it installed (with other equip) it sounded great, would really pound for the $$$. But about 3 months of rockin, it quit working. It sounded like the speaker blew, but I was listening to talk radio at the time. Overall it's a great value if you get one that lasts, however, mine didn't

  • Installed this behind rear seat in 06' Sierra 4 door truck . Sounds great. Really handles the lows my door speakers can't hit. Audio guy who did the install loved it. Kept showing it to people and said he would start carrying it in his shop. Well worth the money.

  • I have a 2003 Subaru Outback with 4 3-way alpine's in my doors with a 600 wat amp this 8" sub works great I like good old rock and roll my two teen's like some other crap, but any music we crank out just seems to sound so much more better now everyone wants to know where I got it so I keep a copy of this web site handy I think it is well worth the $129. I paid for this sub hell if you dont like it send it back you got 30 days to try it out

  • Great value. Running it with a JVC Head unit, 10 speaker system inluding 1.5" tweeter, 3 and 4" mid-ranges and 6.5" woofers and it really helps fill out the sound in my '86 Porsche 944.

  • This is the second one I have installed myself. First one was in a Dodge Ram with Infinity System. Did the job it was intended for; filling out the bottom end. My new one is for my Chevy HD2500. I have the factory radio, 4 Pioneer 4-way speakers in the doors and this behind the back seat. Night and day difference with it installed over just having the door speakers. Used 8 gauge wire to power and ground the unit and used the high level inputs for sound. I tapped into the rear door speaker wires in the middle door posts. I listen to blues, country, classic rock, and heavy metal. The rubber mounting feet suck but I figured out another way to mount the unit. I recommend this unit if you want accurate sound reproduction and don't want one of those obnoxious thumping vehicles.
