  • That setup is quite possible without a doubt. I dont know if he has it or not. Buddy of mine has 4 15's ported in his celica on 2 10,000 watt amps. Florida SPL or Car Audio Classifieds . Org will show you some things you ametuers have no idea about.

Even though the our set up was a freak of nature. N dat was b 4 da sound industry came out wit batteries n hi-output alternators. Man, what a beast it was.

  • i have one of these in a 1985 buick riviera big body on a ma audio hc 2500d one channel amp and a jvc kd-avx1 dvd player also recommended it beats pretty hard but its only seein about 800 to 1000 out of my amp because of the dual 6 ohm voice coils.but overall the sound quility is absolutely amazing unmatched by any other subwoofer beats hard but definitly a sq subwoofer not a spl subwoofer but ill say its a beast if u want spl orion hcca is the way to go

  • Great SQ sub, terrible for SPL. I recommend DC Audio, Sundown Audio, or Digital Designs if you're going for a great SQL/SPL Sub. The only thing that could make this sub better is a different voice coil. 6 ohm DVC is just too awkward. I highly recommend if you're a straight SQ type of person.

  • I put this sub in a ported 4 cubic foot box. A single 15 in a 2008 charger. The port firing up toward the rest deck. It sounded very very clean considering it was a ported box. As far as spl, it was louder than two 12 type r's in a ported box in the same car. I built both boxes to spec. I pushed the jbl with a single alpine pdx amp at 1000 w rms. The sub handled it bueatifully and still hasn't blown. Love it. I also bought a twelve and put it in a sealed down fire console in my truck. Again I love it. Super clean and good control across all lower frequencies. This sub is very musical. I would recommend to anyone looking for great sound. I would say this sub sounds better than a jl w6 and w7. But as far as vokume it is between the two louder than the w6 but not quite as loud as the w7. sound quality and volume will also depend on the box design and type of vehicle. None the less I love this sub and would recommend to anyone. Especially people that like to push their subs to the limits. The coil design prevents from bottoming out and acts as a secondary "suspension".
