this is the best price i've seen for these speakers! my g/f bought me 2 pairs for 300. i didnt know what they could do till i hooked em up to a 4 channel! holy freaking god these things scream!!! i lost a good part of my hearing within the first couple days of havin em hooked up. got 2 rockford p3d412's and some 1300w mono sony amps, 1 cap and a capcell. my dash board shakes. the winsheild shakes and makes the wipers bounce.
After having purchased the Audiobahn ABC6003N 3-way component set and being very disappointed; I had a glimmer of hope that even some cheap Bostons would not let me down... and boy was I right. I got these in conjunction with a pair of the sx45 4 inchers. Who would have that they would have blown away the meaty 3 way audiobahn components. But they did. No matter what genre these shine. The corolla will never be the same. They are mated with a 4 channel audiobahn class A/B amp and a JL audio 12W0 as were the audiobahns. Even my wife's discerning ear (her car) is pleased. While the audiobahn's were shrill and tinny; these are musical and robust. Don't let the specs fool ya... the frequency repsonse has a true + or - 3db argument and they are flat as your hand and colorless as they should be. As a matter of fact I liked these so well I got 2 more sets for my Honda. Which is mated with JL audio 12w6v1's... My setup is SPL and the wifes is SQ... With these babies... I just pulled into the SQL lane. :D Nice to know that even in these dimmer times there is still a competent manufacturer making decent products at an entry price point. Some of the best speakers to make it out of mainland China.
When I bought my 94 Honda Accord, these speakers were in the rear, and it had stock speakers in the front. I was given a pair of 6.5" Sony Xplods I put in the front, but there is absolutely no comparison. You can hear these babies over the Xplods. They are so much louder. I would definitely recommend them.
