Well I actually ordered the KFC w-3011's, and they sent me these. This is the 2009 version of the 3011's with improved cone designs. Thanks for free upgrade ocs.. I'm not going to tell you these are the best subs in the world because they aren't, but I will tell you they are amazing for the price.. They are very fast and pick up a good range.. They hit very hard.. When I first wired these baby's up I was very surprised. I am more than happy with them. These can blow away many sub-woofers that cost double the price.. If you just want some good loud base for a cheap price this is the perfect sub for you.. Also OCS's price was very good.. At my local electronics store these subs retail for $140.00 plus tax..

I ordered the w3011's but got these instead. I'm not complaining though. I have these in a ported box tuned to 38hz with an internal volume of 2.01 cubic feet. Mounted inward on top of the box so everyone can see the magnets, with the ports pointing towards the back. I built the box myself for my '00 Montero Sport, separate chambers with cross bracing and double sheet baffle of 3/4inch MDF. Right now I'm still breaking them in pushing only 120watts to each speaker. After break-in period of 50hrs, I will bridge my amps. Using Blaupunkt PCA2120 amps, 1 per sub, 300watts RMS w/350 max dynamic. Now I used to have a single 12 Kenwood Excelon XW1202DVC being pushed by one of these amps and I blew it out so I know these amps aren't underpowered. Hope this helps anyone trying to decide if they want this sub. And yes at 120watts it bumps, I just don't have the gain all the way up.
i bought two of these subs and put them in a ported box in my 88 mustang running them with a kac-9103d amp and it is pretty loud for some cheap speakers i was very impressed it blew away my old kenwood 10's my whole sound system is great for the money i have spent... i wish they had 15's in this model

these subs pound. got 2 of em hooked up to a 1000 watt 2 channel crunch amp and it sounds sweet
i order the kfc 3011 but got these's instead too! ha im breaking them in right now this sub is really tight with the bass kick i haven't hook them up into my car yet..but i have yet to see what these babies can do
Have two of these in a dual ported ground shaker in my 03' Dakota. These bump so nice. Super nice lows. You can feel it all around the cabin. And you cant beat the price.
i just installed theses subs powered by a kenwood 1000 class d mono amp and i was def surprised how hard they hit im not gonna tell you these subs are the best but they are def worth the money
I installed these subs for two of my customers... ones a 04 explorer and the other is a 02 civic they couldn't believe the sound that comes out of these subs...
These boys hit hard. i got mine in a ported box in a 03 civic. i got the back window shakin an the tag tigned up tight an that shit still goin crazy. the amp im useing is an eclipse amp watts like 680 i think
These subs are gread, i have them going with a sealed box and a kenwood 9104d 1800watt amp, let me tell you they hit like crazy, i dont even have the amp turened half way on the bass boost, and i keep it on about -15 on my stereo, and they still hit like crazy i cant see anything out of my rear view mirror, really good quality bass, not just that annoying thumping sound. These are in a 2000 toyota celica. GREAT BUY!
I have 2 with a sealed box in a 01 civic powered by a kenwood 1000 class d mono amp. It sounds good they hit harder then i thought they would. I wanna get a ported box. I would recommend these to anyone.
Best subs ever. I have 4 of these running on 2 crunch 1400w amps in my grand marquis. CRAZY BASS. people that i dont know, know me by my bass. I will suggest these subs to anyone. and the price is amazing. i actually ordered the KFC-3011 but they sent me these. i aint complaining.

very good sub for the price. i went into best buy and they were trying to sell it for $100, what a joke. unfortunatly i fell on it when it was in my room and cracked it, but now i got 2 kickers so oh well

I have 2 of these in my truck wired to a kenwood 1000 watt amp. i made a custom ported box tuned to 30hz. these subs hit hard for the price. i wasn't ready when i first put them in my ears were ringing for hours. I'm about to order 6 more and 2 5000 watt amps just to see what i can do with it
i bought these from best buy for ***$ on black friday (wish i would have checked prices here first)i have a crappy 800 watt lanzar amp with a 2.0 farad audiobahn cap and these rattle my rear view mirror and the wing on my trunk off. only have a regular box, soon going to buy a ported one and a 2200 wat boss amp
i just got these from best buy, got them in a sealed box and a sony xplod 1000W amp and it shakes my car, i would like more bass but i should spend money on a better amp, a cap, and new 6x9 speakers that im about to blow first. over all great.
all in all a great speaker for the price and service is great,Mounted 2 of these in a ported box in my VW Jetta fits perfect,using a hifonics brutus mono amp(at 4ohm) and a boss 10 farad capacitor clean sound with a good punch best of all I can remove it if I need the extra room to haul coolers.
I have 2 of these in my wife's jeep liberty and couldn't be anymore surprised. i've heard 2 cvx 15's that didn't sound near this clean and good. excellent price, i feel like i robbed kenwood
I bought two of these and had them placed in a custom sealed box that was made for my car by a local audio store. Powered by a Kicker 750watt amp, they sound(ed) amazing, I would recommend them to anyone. However one of my subs had a defective coil and shorted out, after shipping it to an authorized Kenwood location to have it fixed I found out that they would not replace it because this website is not an authorized Kenwood distributor, I would buy these subs, but if you do buy them from somewhere else.
great subs got two in a ported box with the recomended 1.5 cu.ft. per chamber runnin off a 1000 watt rms earthquake amp. I'm hittin 161.3 db in my 94 cutluss surpreme.
Da best subs I've ever owned done had Kickers nd MTX nd this is by far the best have 2 of these powered by my Boss amp nd Ported box nd damn ppl hear my beatin......... Must Buy,,,,
just purchased one of these the other day, threw it in my dodge ram 3500 behind the seat in the middle, along with two other shallow mount 12s under my seat. this sub works awesome, hits the highs and lows very well. it couldnt ask for anything better, especially for the price, its a great sub. I recommed to buy if looking for a 12 inch sub
CLEAN SOUND, GREAT SOUND QUALITY, AND GOOD PRICE, COULDN'T ASK FOR MORE! i have 2 in a sealed box in the back of my 02 avalanche. I thought it was a joke when people say they "hear me coming." so i tested it out my self, told my friend to drive down the block, turn it up and man, i was really impressed. Only downside was that they do bottom out easily so just adjust your GAIN and LPF. You shouldn't have a problem.
Actually ordered the 3011s and got these instead? Seems like they are doing that to everyone...at first I wanted to send them back because this has the urethane surround and not the rubber and has a lower sensitivity rating than the 3011...but after I installed 2 of them on my jl 500/1 and tuned it... I was more than pleased...they have a larger Xmax than the 3011, and sound just as good (i have a 3011 in my other car) I just hope they will last as long as my 3011 has, which is about 17 months so far with no problems.
I've got 1 in a ported box behind the pass. seat in my 84 nissian pickup. sounds amazing. im running a 1200 watt xplod amp. could use a better amp but it still sounds great.awesome for the price but if ur looking for preium quality and sound u can't beat jl auido. bit i still love this sub
I gotta give this the perfect 10. I hooked one of these up to the 1000 watt kenwood amp i also bought from onlinecarstereo, and omg some low notes i can feel in my chest and some notes make my vision shake. it sounds great too at low levels. I have this in a Absolute VEGS12 ported box in my 98 jeep cherokee and it hits hard. Im happy with both price and quality. definate buy again
Good starting subs, I bought them when I was young, but I soon realized that I wanted more power, and these subs just can't handle that much power. They sound good, but you can get much better subs for nearly the same price.
i love these subs i have them hooked up to a 1200 soundstorm mono amp and in a custom box and let me tell you i cant turn it up past 15 without hurting my ears! These subs are the way to go!
I own two of these and 2 10" pioneers hooked up to 2 lanzar vct2310 amps and im pretty pleased for the moment. will upgrade after a month or so. overall the quality is pretty good for the price you pay.
i bought 2 of these for a lil winter system i gotta em hooked up to a 1200 watt amp and they take all the abuse i put them threw, there tough little subs and still sound good. would buy agian!

I have 4 of these in a 78 Cady with 2400 watt class d power acoustic amp they sound great in al notes they make my whole car shake even my front grill my eyes shake wi I'm in it great speakers just got 2 more for wife's car b from tn
I'm thinking about getting em but idk I've have had kicker 15 in comps 12 in l7 kickers 12 in Sony explodes and 12 in kicker comps and I had a spl 2600 class d amp on all of them I just don't know what amp will push these good and not blow em and I'm hoping there durable as people say
Had these 2 of these in a sealed box powered buy a bridged jensen 720W and even with that little amp the were amazing, clean response, got extremely deep considering the box they were in, and extremely well priced. I sold mine about a year ago and I'm looking at getting another pair.
