Just installed 4 of these in a '01 Ford Explorer Sport. Installed a new Sony head unit as well as a Kenwood KAC8405 amplifier. This sound system is sick! What a difference from the stock garbage that's in there. Great highs and mids, lows are good enough for me. If you're looking for serious bass, you're gonna want a sub. But to be honest, I like a good range of bass and I am 100% content with these.
Good speakers for a fair price, but don't buy them if you plan on amplifying them. Put them in my '03 explorer and blew two speakers out within 48 hours of having them installed. I have them hooked up to a Kenwood 4-channel amp with about 80w to each speaker and within minutes of tweaking my amp they smelled like they were about to catch fire. I took it easy on them and all four smelt burnt, then two just cut out. Hope this helps

Ever since I found this site I never changed. Great speakers about to have a 3rd set for the third car. Infinity @ onlinecarstereo is the only way to roll.
