I bought 2 pair of these for my Suburban...wow! I have had some Boss equipment before and found them to decent quality when you're on a budget, but these suprised me. The Highs arent harsh and overbearing, as well as they not flat at all, can't take much below 80hz, but you want to run these with a crossover and an amp anyway, also... Who told them how to rate power any how? I don't recomend putting more than 75w rms per side.
These speakers work pretty good. The subwoofers are perfect so far... I've had them installed and amplified with 100watts true rms. The tweeters cut out at about 3/4 the power my amp delivers at about 3/4 the volume on my head unit. The speaker wire is not removeable in the tweeters, its made into the speaker and its very thin, non copper ground and power wire, I have 14 gauge copper from amp to about 4 inches of their wire to the tweeter and I know that its just not getting the power it needs through that 18-22 gauge crap they have stock wired. The crossovers are simple and easy to hook-up, these come with no instructions on how to hook up, but you can find out online everywhere to get how to's. Overall, they sound great at a medium to low volume. Very affordable and great as a replacement to stock stereo sound. I would not get these again personally because I love loud music and I can't get that through this set. Im going to be getting 4 new tweeters with no pre wire, so that I can hook up how much power I want. These speakers can not handle the power claimed, I promise, but they are great for this kind of money.
These speakers are gr8. Although they can not handle a lot of power. I am running them with R3004 1200 4ch and my gains are set to 14 watts and they sound really good. My amp is rated @ 110 x 4 but they can not handle that much power. I recommend them on a small amp or no amp @ all. Gr8 set for the money.
Nice clean sound. Recommend an amplifier, they don't get enough power from a head unit.
