I bought these simply for their appearance! When you open the box you think nuclear fall out, anyway, I installed these in my truck to replace the JVC 6.5 whatever speakers and found an FUSION ENCOUNTER FE-1002 / 2 CHANNEL amp... I have owned everything from JVC Cheap stuff, to JL audio, I did some research on these and fusion is big in the UK and Australia... I had know idea what I was in for when I installed theses, I thought "hey at least they are pretty"! Then I had the amp installed with the best RCA's I could find "Monster Cable", 4 gauge 100% OFC not that copper clad crap<---by the way, never use CCA power cable, It is pretty much useless and gets very hot...Nasty stuff CCA. I used 14gauge speaker wire, and hooked up the supplied cross overs, to the mid base sexy woofers, and hooked up the tweeters as per the manual, you can adjust the tweeter from inside the crossovers + or - 3db, you don't really need to use this setting. So amp installed components in, sound deadener in the doors, panels back on, and KABOOM THESE WITH WILL BLOW YOU THE F*** AWAY, sound is ultra clear, High hats hit and kick the doors along with super sharp mid base and the tweeters hiss like a pissed off cat on crack. The drums go up like frogs in a dynamite pond<--"fear and loathing in Las Vegas" reference but they do, I listen to everything from gothic industrial, punk, to classical, and these little F****** never miss a beat, if you are an audiophile, seriously consider these, they will give you wood. I never take the time to write out a review like this unless justified by a product exceeding all expectations! These have me shocked, stunned, bewildered, and wondering why It took me this long to find these, they rock like Joan Jett...So just buy them. They beat my JL components hands down and give a total TKO blow to anything else I have heard in the realm of components simply the best period...
