Good sound is awaiting these speakers, but you must use some type of EQ in order to control the highs. These speakers are very bright and loud right out of the box. I'm using an LC2-i from the stock Sony HU in my Ford Focus ST and connected to an Infinity 4 way amp. The front channels for the MB Quarts and the rear channel bridged for a sub. The stock HU does a poor job of sound EQ so within a few months I bought a Clarion EQ and wow, what a difference. Completely transformed the sound quality of these speakers.
Great set of component speakers for the price.
Good speakers for the price. Definitely not the mb quart quality they had when it was made in germany but still ok for the price.
These speakers were a dramatic upgrade to the stock door speakers. They have very clear vocals and decent mid bass. Awesome value for the money.
Outstanding product for the price
Always been a fan of MB Quart. These are great for the money. Tweeters are really bright, had to put them in the -3db port, as they are flush mounted at axis and are loud! My only beef was that the woofer carriage was too wide for the Scosche SA-69 adapter I used to fit the 6.5in into the 6x9 cutout. Had to do some fabrication on the adapter to make them fit, but other than that, they are money. Have them in a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 and connected the Alpine 500 Watt Mono Class D and the Alpine 4 Channel Power Pack to them and they are super loud. Don't buy them if you arent planning to amplify them, because they don't sound nearly as nice without the extra power.
