Product Reviews For Cerwin Vega HED3104

I have one of these in a ported off-the-shelf Atrend Bbox (very close to the box build specs in the manual) in my trunk with 250W RMS to it and it plays ridiculously low for an entry-level 10-inch sub. I also have one in a sealed 1.0 cu. ft. box in my home theater with about 100W RMS to it and it just steals the show. I kept thinking these would be temporary subwoofers until I got something that handled more power or played lower, but once I broke these in I realized there was no need for anything else. It's been over a year now, and this woofer has decent excursion, handles transients well in the sealed box, plays loud in the ported box, and plays deep in both enclosures. Cervin-Vega had been off of my radar for a few years, but the HED subs are great for the price. With the right enclosure, this can be the ideal subwoofer.
